My view on the idea of "safe spaces" is rather simple and I am sure would offend many but I hardly care. The only "safe space' a person has any right or claim to is there home and property. Where they can deny people who express opinions and thoughts they do not like access and so on. That is the only place I would consider a "Safe space" but even then only to a line. The idea that if you go into the public and expect to be "safe" from words, opinions and so on that offends you or makes you feel bad is utterly stupid and entitled. There is no such thing as a safe space in the world and to expect the world to conform to make you feel good and safe is asinine. Simple reality is the world is not a safe place and never will be and nobody should be expected to conform and change things to make you feel better in any sort of public setting either online or in the real world. The bonus of online though is if a person is using language or such that offends or makes you feel unsafe you know what you can do? You can mute or block them. Seems a rather easy solution. Also I will say those who want a safe space and demand one come off to me as overall just weak and pathetic where they are so fragile the idea of conflicting opinions, thoughts or mean words causes this much "stress".

It was so funny to me when the guy brought up League of Legend's language filter because that game has THE most toxic people. 30 -40% dont give a fuck and will feed/troll/intentionally try to get you killed for minor shit like taking a champ they wanted to play or banning the champ, a good 20% or more would flame the fuck out of you in chat or if they couldnt do that they would spam ping you. My 2nd earliest memory of that game was me and my friend talking shit to some weirdo in the post game lobby. Some of the better players in the game with high elo are toxic as fuck too. Hashinshin - former pro player that blames everything on his team when he fucks up, Tyler1 - flames people and feeds intentionally so much that he got banned on like 15+ accounts and is now perma-banned aka banned on sight, and best of all C9 Jensen who use to flame people, feed, and Dox them. Worse yet, this is all on the NA server except C9 Jensen. I would hate to see what the more toxic EU servers are like.
