At this price point, I'll just get a 65 or 75 inch LG OLED TV

As long as you're okay with paying the same price for half the screen size.

@tinystar30102 жыл бұрын
At that price point, just find a quality 4k 240hz monitor. Size is irrelevant as you can adjust your seating area closer. 100" is way too big for quality gaming anyway. At 100" you're either too close and have to look way further in any direction on screen while gaming, or you have to sit so far back across the room that it's uncomfortable to play.

@@tinystar3010 I think monitors are pretty underwhelming experiences. I want to relax and fun playing games. Laying on my couch playing PC games on a 55 inch LG C1 takes the cake. 4K, 120hz, HDR, VRR, all in an oled display that has perfect black levels. Also who would wanna play split screen on a tiny ass monitor?

I've got 4800 hours (11 years) on my old BenQ 1080p 3d projector and it does great.... Costs 1000 brand new all those years ago. Nothing like Mario kart with a racing rig on an 12 foot screen
@CasepbX2 жыл бұрын
Cool to see you finally jumping into projectors. I been having one in my living room for about 6 years now. Well I've had 3 so far. First an Optoma which was neat but a toy projector honestly. Then a BenQ which was a much more premium feeling device and I kept it for 5 years. Now I finally went 4k and got the Samsung Premiere 130" and it's amazingly bright and looks pretty much like a 125" 4K TV. Granted I totally decked out my living room to work well with a projector. So my walls are painted very dark, and the screen wall is black. Also have a fancy pants 9.2 home theater. It's always a good time having friends over to watch movies and play games.

Why would I need a projector instead of a normal say OLED screen?
@SplazerSplaze2 жыл бұрын
@@pxnchx93 typically a more affordable option when shopping larger screen sizes. After 65" panels of name brand quality start costing car money.
@pxnchx932 жыл бұрын
@@SplazerSplaze I see, and so are they worth it? And I guess hypothetically if I were to find a panel cheaper than a projector on those sizes I better go with the panel, right?
@SplazerSplaze2 жыл бұрын
@@pxnchx93 If all you use a screen for is movies, you could save space and money on the home console setup going with a projector+media device. However if you spends lots of time and consider yourself an LED enthusiast, the Panels have been breathtaking from Sony, LG, and Samsung. Kinda apples and oranges, given the tech packed into TVs these days. Hope it helps.

Theres just WAY too much latency and slow response times gaming on a projector. I cant stand latency
@Merkantoine2 жыл бұрын
if you have "infinite" budget, that's not true, there are projectors out there with better latency than most TVs, the truth is, and it's my only complaint with these types of videos, is that budget is NEVER addressed when talking about the competition. for the price point of this projector and type of screen you can absolutely get a much much much better tv without a doubt, and that's not even taking gaming monitors or "gaming" tvs into consideration

For about 2700 bucks on B&H you can get an LG B2 77”. Yes it’s smaller but it has VRR up to 120Hz which is a must for gaming. And if you just wanna watch movies / tv just get the cheaper A1.
