Made my decision last gen to build a pc. Long term its cheaper. Once you add up 7+ years of subscriptions to play what you paid for, possible mutiple consoles due to either failure or upgrade to pro consoles, multiple controllers. Add it up You're in a very good pc range. And add the fact game pass is on pc just makes the xbox unappealing, and ps now or plus whatever it is today also has an option on pc but its stream only but dont get the ps5 versions yet. To end the "but have to upgrade every year" is false game devs look at what the average/majority hardware people are using through a window on steam and develope their games surrounding what people are using thats why theres minimum specs and recommended. While also adding in features for those that have the new shiny stuff like dlss and ray tracing, etc.. im still on 2018 hardware could play games better 60+ fps on that than the series x. Had a friend bring his and logged into gamepass downloaded it and ran it lets just say hes built a pc now. And play almost everything a playstation can play as long as it had a ps4 version (currently) if already not on pc example ghost of tsushima and play pc exclusives. "Oh but theres cheaters on pc" do what you already doing "report them"

@jprodigy6723 Very well said my friend. I can't agree more with the benefits of going with a subscription model like game pass, EAs isn't too bad either if you like their games. And that is so true, without PS Plus most wouldn't have a reason to buy a PS5 and Sony knows this, hence the slow or hopefully inevitable arrival of a dedicated launcher. But yeah for sure PC is the wiser long-term investment; especially when measuring in best value for your experience.

@TechWithTerrance the nice thing is on steam ea subscription is 4.99 and can get a sale on it during their sales for much much less seen it for .80 on one of their sales. But there's a neat little trick get the cd key of the game off steam in its properties and put it in the origin and you get to keep the game.

Yea the ps4 made my decision last gen. Xbox pissed me off with the 360 was big in madden and on ps3 could play every mode without connection to the internet minus online modes. The 360 required xbox live to play the offline modes example. Remember the madden challenges? Once Sony started doing similar stuff in the ps4 I made up my mind if they going the pc route where pc has been for years I might as well and it's been the best decision I've made

@@iprodigy6723 I def remember the Madden challenges and when Microsoft dropped the bomb with Live. But even better value at $4.99!! Especially if one plays a lot of games.

If they put the games out on PC right away ok but they don't so just as well get a console. I have a gaming PC then both the Xbox x and ps5 and I just use those because they are convenient and the games are all released on them first.
@SuperMetaTech10 ай бұрын
I feel you @wildman25jg can't argue with convenience. Sony exclusives are timed (lengthy at that) but Microsoft exclusives (Starfield, Gears, Halo) all typically drop at the same time as they Xbox counterparts. Consoles are convenient sure, but games run better in terms of freedom of quality, fps, nativity, on PC. Nothing wrong rocking all three, but the extra cost could be allocated to a premium monitor or other experience enhancing component making the wait for the exclusive worthwhile.
@Lifesrad810 ай бұрын
@@SuperMetaTech I get that. Some games I only buy for PC others I just go for the console versions. Then it depends on how well I like the game to if I buy it for the PC later at that release date.

@@Lifesrad8 For sure. Preference is the most important spec to check off.

*I bought a gaming PC back in 2016. Upgraded last time being in 2019. Now in 2023 I have hardly played a videogame in over the last 3 years. Modern gaming just holds no interest for me.*

I feel you..but the good thing about PC as a platform are the abundance of new and old games at your disposal to play. What upgrades did you make?

@@SuperMetaTech Got a new graphics card & SSD drive as my old hard drive was out dated. Think I may have to just buy an entire new PC because I did try to launch a game recently Mist Survival & my PC can't even handle that these days. The motherboard is ancient too.

@@Stuart267 That game has very low requirements (GTX 560) modern cards should be more than enough.

Right no good games are out now one gets tired of playing games that are 10 yrs old. Even some that are good you like playing them at the start then they just get boring. That happened to me with Diablo IV got into it then after awhile it was just boring.
