I have no strong feelings here so I’ll just tell a joke. A group of programmers are boarding a plane to go to a conference and their project manager decides to use the opportunity for a little exercise. He asks “if you discovered that your team programmed this plane’s software, how many of you would leave before it could take off?” Immediately everyone raised their hand except for one guy. The project manager asked him “It’s very interesting that you alone have the confidence in your team to stay on the plane. Why is that?” The man responds “if my team wrote the software, we wouldn’t even be able to taxi to the end of the runway, let alone take off!”

Throwing one more for fun. A programmer walks into the bar, runs into the bar, slides into the bar, jumps into the bar, then asks for 1 glass of water, 9999 glass of water, -1 glass of water, a letter glass of water, everything works fine. The client comes into the bar and then asks where's the bathroom. The bar comes on fire.

Game Awards have been pointless for me in the past few years. I'm not wasting 2 1/2 to 3 hours in my life. If I need to see what upcoming games will come out I will wait after the show and look it up on google or you tube. I would rather play video games that day.

Puppies! ❤ I might see the trailers online the following day. Us as gamers need to display the same restraint to not watch this show as we did not buying slop games, but there's no entry fee so people will still tune in for trailers.

Most anticipated game "they ignore the existance of doom the dark ages" Also, the entrylist deadline got changed 2 days earlier, stalker 2 gets out of nominations because of it.

Digital Extremes and Warframe as a live service should be on the continuous service award for nine years, big Tennocons, and a happy community for the most part. Just goes to show they have never considered the indie out there, especially when the board is CEOs from all the major companies that make up the industry

I've never really cared much about the game awards outside of the occasional trailer debut. The awards are just a big marketing and money scheme like all the other Hollywood award shows. The lax rules aren't anything new either. That's not what burns my ass. What gets me is the 90/10 skew away from player's choice, and especially the list of apathetic entities within that 90% that barely even have anything to do with gaming, but they're there because clout and activism. Just enjoy the trailers and drink every time you see Mountain Dew, Doritos, or a cringey moment. That's all these awards are worth.
