@zitrodivad the arcade cabinet had a joystick that you would move towards the flashing prompt to make a move. You also had a button for the sword to press when it flashed on screen.

Actually I think she was Daphne's mother. If not, her former nanny maybe? Her quote "I raised the princess to marry a frog!" is the only explanation to their relationship.

I think it's more that this guy never got a break. Link went through more total, but Link could stop and take a breather now and then. Heck, he could even take a day off in most games. Playing games, fishing, relaxing on his own private island, sprucing up his own house and horseback riding....

Don Bluth also has always wanted to produce a Dragon’s Lair feature length movie since the 1980s but it never happened due to funding issues however he recently tried to bring back the project by doing a Kickstarter campaign to back the production of it! :)

Even though the Jabberwocky never appeared in the Alice in Wonderland animated film, there is completed artwork for it. As a kid, I remember through an animated book using the Disney pictures and they also included the Jabberwocky.

The animation is beautiful! I love it all except Daphnie’s scream. It’s so high pitched it hurts to hear and you are not sure when it’s coming so you can’t really lower the volume.

The boys look like and are even dressed like him. And why would Daphne's siblings join them on that joyride at the end? Talk about a bunch of third wheels. Or, rather... third through thirteenth wheels, by my count? So, in summary... yeah, that guy doesn't know what he's talking about. EDIT: Third through _fourteenth!_ EDIT 2: Okay, there appear to be nine boys and three girls on the time machine at the end, but in the previous scene we see four girls, so they must have at least thirteen kids (for a total of fifteen wheels if all are present). I hope that missing girl is just hidden amid the rest and didn't get left behind...

No seriously...I remember in the early days of Cartoon Network and Boomerang they actually showed episodes of the Dragon's Lair cartoon based off the first game...iirc each episode had a "if Dirk had chosen to do this" moment that showed Dirk's failure...they did not do this for the Space Ace cartoon which was based off the game of the same name.

looks like the same animations as The Rescuers, All Dogs Go to Haven and Land Before Time. so cool. The saddest part of this is... knowing this sort of animation is compliantly dead and you'll never see anything new in this style because everyone that learned and could do this style are gone or too old to do it anymore. Now most everything is AI generated and boring... mannnnn.. i miss older stuff. So much more soul and love in it. So much more enjoyable and simple.

I don't think this is actually gameplay. Because you can't hear the action sounds. This just seems like the option where you can just watch the game autoplay. Also you can't really Finnish the game without obtaining all the treasures. Something I don't see happening here. I first played the game as a CD Rom game on the PC and later as a DVD. So I'm pretty familiar with the game options. Just saying.

Yes dragons lair. It's a movie with interactive scenes. Press the wrong cue and you die. They were insanely popular in the day. Now they are just nostalgia for really hard games. You could even buy these on VHS tapes. Press left and right on your TV remote.
