I wish you'd mentioned the talk show radio station! One of my favorite parts, they had some real good bits in there. By far my favorite car combat game, and one of my favorites on the original Xbox. It kills me that Midway is gone and we'll almost definitely never get a sequel. Also, fun fact, if you have a PS2 copy there's a save file on GameFaqs that gives you a couple otherwise-unobtainable vehicles! It's been a few years so I don't remember the exact names, but one of them was an enemy boss' car.

A fantastic review my friend, you & I share so many favorite series & games, so kool to hear you do this game justice, such a good game few have played! I played a PS2 demo disc with the first section open to play, as a huge "Mad Max" fan I immediately pre-ordered it & was delighted to find it came with a embossed full size metal "Roadkill" license plate which I still have on my game room wall. It is a big time car combat favorite of mine to this day. I have the PS2 & Xbox versions & have completed it a few times on each platform.

Honestly, one of the best parts of the game is the multiplayer. It has a Serious Sam/Quake like feel where you start with the basic infinite ammo gun and can find pickups for things like a wingman to man your turret or better weapons. With 4 people fighting, it is really fun.

The dead body ragdoll physics here really remind me of Jaws Unleashed, (totally not being weird here) I kinda wished stuff like this was brought back in games that weren't solely 'physics' games, it adds that extra something to violent videogames, or just arcade style games I suppose. So much boring clipping in modern games.

I was disappointed when I found out this game did not have a solo deathmatch mode against the AI aside from the open world campaign, twisted metal, vigilante 8, even motor mayhem had this, but this doesnt? I don't know what they were thinking here, but that's the only reason I spent a lot of time on these car combat games just because they have a deathmatch mode. This looks like a lot of fun to play, but this omission really disappointed me, I would really love to have a lot more to do than just campaign and multiplayer.
