This game was definitely better when played with friends since you could do combo moves by having two characters stand next to each other.

Man, when the arcade game hit on PSN and Xbox Live it was amazing! Apparently the reason why the game was removed from Xbox Live and PSN was not only due to expired licences, but do to them ending their relationship with Skullgirls developer Reverge Labs and wanted Skullgirls off PSN and Xbox Live. Same thing happened to the X-Men Arcade Game. It also made me wonder why The Angry Video Game Nerd questioned why many of the Simpsons games on NES were not released by Konami, and I slowly figured out why... LJN/Acclaim only owned the home console rights to The Simpsons, not Konami, they only did the arcade game.

1:27 😂 Sounds odd? What's odd is that they chose some random dude instead of asking the original voice actors that where involved to try and impersonate the missing voices.

Hey! Great review! This was such a fun game to play on arcades! I remember playing this game back when they offered it as arcade stores. The Simpsons would always be the best choice and I had a blast playing it. Although the show is not as polished as it was before, it still has a fantastic legacy for television. Thanks for this review!!

One of the best beat'em up games ever made and the other two are TMNT4 TURTLES IN TIME and X-MEN

Finally someone who doesn't treat that game as if it's the best game of all time. Also, WTF?! Homer is supposed to be 35 years old? Since they of course don't age... Great I'm older than him. 😂
@LEXICON-DEVIL4 жыл бұрын
You can't believe it's not better??? It's a beatem up and as far as what can be done, this game does waaaaay more than TMNT arcade. I think your blinded by turtle nostalgia. Both games are great for beatem ups. Still tho, Double Dragon on GBA still has the most move sets of any beat'em up. Now X-Men on the other hand. 🤦🤦🤦
@Gamingpastime644 жыл бұрын
Does it do more than TMNT? Specifically Turtles in Time which came out the same year (and the same month according to the internet)? For one thing, Time features additional mechanics. Plus I, personally, think it's a better looking game. Considering both came from Konami, I still say The Simpsons could have been better.
@LEXICON-DEVIL4 жыл бұрын
@@Gamingpastime64 The Simpsons game is very lively. The environments, the fighting animations, the enemies and references. Honestly in terms of actual fighting mechanics it's probably the same. I'm not trying to force convince you into liking the simpsons but I'm just confused on why you say it's not as good when it's not different than most beat'em ups. X-Men tho gets boring after the 1st screen for some reason. I love X-Men too so I wonder what are the subtle differences between beat'em ups that have us divided. Hmmmm🤔🤔🤔🤷cUrIoUsEr & CuRiOuSeR!
