Remember that part in The Incredible Hulk movie (the one that the MCU keep forgetting about) where those soldiers were hunting the Hulk inside a factory at night? The Hulk was VERY scary in near pitch black darkness, where just his green eyes could be seen.

The reason why the hulk and the thing were monsters is because in the 50s, superheroes were demonized and essentially cancelled by fear of it tainting the youth. Stan and Jack put monsters in their books so if the books did poorly, they could quickly pivot the books into the monster/horror genre, leaving the superhero genre behind.
@Immortal9-m9x2 ай бұрын

Since this is about the Hulk then emphasizing on psychological horror would probably be the way to go since the tragedy of Bruce Banner is his inner turmoil and how that affects everyone around him. Oh and body horror could probably be applied somehow, maybe with Hulk’s blood coming into contact with people and seeing the horrific effects that has on them sorta similar to how other content creators use Godzilla to show the horrors of radiation.

@justincampbell3891Ай бұрын
One of the things that has been a recurring theme really since John Byrne's "She-Hulk" is that a Hulk's Hulk form is the most repressed part of their personality. That's why the mousy, dowdy, kind of repulsed by the idea of intimacy Jen Waters was so sex-positive in most of her She-Hulk forms. Bruce Banner repressed EVERYTHING, that's why he has so many different Hulk forms. Amadeus Cho, The Totally Awesome Hulk. As Mastermind Excello, Cho was the smartest person in most rooms he found himself in. Totally Awesome Hulk, on the other hand, is a lovable dudebro basic bro lunkhead. The Gargoyle and The Gremlin? That's obviously an outward manifestation of deep seated inner self loathing. Gray? All consuming desire for revenge, that will never be fulfilled because the person he needs to k!11 is already d3@d. The Harpy/Red She-Hulk? Every relationship has unresolved issues. And Betty Banner being either of the above mentioned was never her idea. In becoming both, she was offered up by her own father as a sacrifice to be forcibly experimented on. Rick Jones? Oddly, this may be the only one that was rooted in positive feelings, as it enabled Rick Jones to become the hero he was always capable of being.

@C-View12 ай бұрын
I love analog horror as much as the next guy. But you can’t just slap a character on a filter, put in some text and creepy pictures, and call it analog horror. They have to coexist and compliment each other. For example, the Batman analog horror works because it’s framed with the GCPD, a prominent element of Batman stories. Hulk can work with the series focusing on the military, and therefore, analog horror can be achieved. However, you need to be creative and think carefully. Not every character works with analog horror, and since the big analog horror popularity boom is dying out, you need to be extra creative in order to stand out.

Interesting idea. If I can provide one critique, I think the pacing of this was a bit quick. The Hulk has much potential for horror and that's been demonstrated in some comics. Body horror especially seems to be one of his strong suits, so I'm interested to see if you'll tackle that if you decide to continue this.

Super cool idea! The visuals are great, and I love the music. Keep working on your writing. It's tough to lock down, depending on your circumstances. It goes a long way in keeping the reader immersed. To be honest, and as a DC Comics fan, the idea of creating Marvel Analog Horror videos is better and makes more sense, I say this because there was always that possibility that things could get worse (although not as edgy as the "Ruins" comic). While making a DC one is nonsensical, committing the same lack of respect to the characters and their morals (in a VERY incoherent way) as Rocksteady did with the Suicide Squad game. Seriously, the fact that the analog horror of "Batman 666" (where Damian Wayne becames Batman) respects and pays homage to the fact that Batman ACTUALLY IS a hero and protector for Gotham instead of the... abomination of nature (a.k.a. "Schumacher's Batman & Robin" but worse) of "The Bat" created by SILTRICS
