I **clearly** get it and I understand it. Now I'm comfortable of stringing my tennis racquet myself and do it correctly. Your KZbin demonstration is the best one I've seen!!! Thank you very much for patiently teaching us to use a stringer and string a racquet. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this with us.

Hello Hieu! Glad you liked the instruction. Let me know if you have any questions I can help you with. Happy stringing!

You do not need to be perfectly horizontal with the tension arm. I know this because I used a calibration device placed between the racquet and gripper and the tension was perfect even with the drop arm a little higher and lower than horizontal. Also gripping the strings from below is way easier and doesn’t damage anything.

Can you send me the link for part 2? I love the way you explain, and how thorough you are but I would like to see part 2

I have seen other people start with the drop weight down and the gripper parallel to the table. Does that work the same way?
@AndreS-of4gp2 жыл бұрын
Well explained and very educational. However, why not put grippers as close to the frame as possible after each tightening, you do not want unnecessary distance between gripper and frame, because then you lose tension. Then it is easier to put the gripper on the underside of the rack, now these are mostly in the way when you have to pull through the string. Time consuming. Praise for the pedagogy though. ;-)

great video! do you have any tips for how to secure a racquet with a thin bridge, like the pure aero, in this stringer? I have this problem. The C clamp is quite large and does not exert even pressure on the bridge because the thicker frame on the sides get in the way.

Very instructional video, well-explained. Just improve on the video orientation. The constant movement and rotation is very irritating and disruptive to the viewers.

For 50 lbs, should the TOP or BOTTOM of the Drop Weight line up with the 50 on the Bar Line? THANKS!!

"Ok I get it.Stop touching your gripper.I think you forgot to mention where do you start first ;from the Throat or the Head.Doesn't it depend on how many holes you got on the Throat?Other than that Thanks for taking your time to show us.

Thank you - very helpful video. Can you please clarify your angle of the gripper slot? I'm seeing where sometimes people put the slot horizontal to the table before threading, the manual seems to show a mirror image of yours. I just need clarification to make sure I'm doing it right.
@jugheadfla4 жыл бұрын
I suggest you take a look at the manual for this machine because it shows you a picture of the angle that you should use specifically. It also says to rotate the gripper clockwise to remove slack before you drop the weight, which this video does not show. I also suggest starting with the arm down instead of up like this video shows.

Great Video! Im actually trying to do the crosses however i don't see a video of you doing the crosses. Do you still use the fly clamps when doing the crosses?

Tennis Brotha - I do use fly clamps for the crosses. Glad you liked the video. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Very instructive video! Just one question, why do you put the clamps on top of the racquet? I saw in many other videos that they put the clamps from below.
@Gary-Link6 жыл бұрын
Hello Roman. You probably already know the clamps on top gives much greater stability so the frame does not move. If the frame moves while placing tension on the frame it can be cracked or warped
@mattguro72776 жыл бұрын
I think he's referring to your flying clamps, not the racket mounting system - some people (myself included) use the clamps with the handle hanging below the string bed, as opposed to sticking up vertically. I prefer this because it prevents the clamp from twisting the mains with its gravity. I will use the clamp sticking up occasionally when starting the mains, if the other clamp is still slightly in the way.

Good video Gary....is there a reason why I gave to adjust Everytime I pull tension? It seems to never ever drop horizontally. It is always dropping below the horizontal

Sir I hv a drop weight stringing machine which I used for badminton, but the problem is that the rod which is available with that stringing machine, no scale related to tension is mentioned on the rod only certain lines are given. So how to decide where I hv to put the weight for a particular value of weight. THanks....

Never trusted a machine with 2-points mounting and rotational grippers. But great video anyway!

I´ve stringed almost 300 times my rackets with a 2-points mounting and they never got warped or broken.

Feel stupider after watching. The guy repeated each step 10 times.

I apologize Kwok for the repetitive explanations but this video was created for a young man who is mentally challenged and handicapped. I wanted to follow-up with a video showing him stringing his first racquet but for privacy I decided not to video him. I sincerely apologize again if this wasted your time.
