I always enjoy the narration you do on some of your videos. It’s always pretty hilarious to me and well done. Don’t apologize for “extra” shots. I must be one of the few people who enjoy watching someone shoot, I guess. I actually wish someone would do sort of an asmr video with a really high end springer gun with a mic extra close to the rifle. I really enjoy hearing the clicks and clacks of all the mechanical pieces working together. High end springers definitely have a different sound to them. Budget rifles are more clicks and groans and less crisp in everything. I guess that sort of video wouldn’t do so well otherwise it would be getting done by now. 😂😂

Thanks! I had just let the cameras roll and shot like I normally do without worrying about talking. But I felt it need something “more” for a YT video and I thought why not try a voiceover? 😀 I like your idea of a mic on the mechanical sounds of the gun. That sounds pretty neat to experiment with.

OMG! Dude! the beginning of this video had me laughing my ass off with your narration that was priceless! On another note The CFX did what I thought it would do once you took it out further unfortunately it is still a piece of junk lol! But god love you for being stubborn and still trying! lol! Not sure if you heard or saw yet but Umarex has a a new Umarex Synergis Elite Multi-Shot Underlever .177 Caliber Air Rifle that is just hitting the market which is a new and improved version from the Gen 1 from what I understand. I might have to give it a try seeing as the CFX was a big fat disappointment.

I hear you can get the new Umarex Synergis Elite in .22 csliber, Off the Shelf, when you are shopping for tractors? I'm waiting for more reviews before I waste another underlever purchase. We will see?
@airgunsofalaska2 ай бұрын
Ha ha! Good to hear you found it entertaining. 😀 I saw a review on the new Umarex underlever but I’m not interested in being an early adopter. I’ll wait to see how it works out for others. Their first gen gun in that lineup was rife with problems. A repeater would be a nice feature, I like that aspect.
@BravoBassin2 ай бұрын
@@airgunsofalaska Yep I agree I am going to wait as well because of those same things about the first gen had a bunch of issues we will see how it does after a few others get it and give it a try and if it seems to be doing well then I might pull the trigger on one. Honestly I think my next one is going to be a cometa from keystone airgiuns.
@BravoBassin2 ай бұрын
@@gmanneod8085 Yep I agree I will wait as well to see how that one does and ya I am not wasting anymore money on budget air rifles in general unless something really catches my eye that I want to try. I will stick with my higher end wiehrauchs and air arms ones instead as they are all well worth the money hands down.

@@airgunsofalaska Yep on his show he made that statement because owners were saying they could not reach out past 30 yards some even said 25 yards . Well it is not classed as a MAGNUM SPRINGER . If 600fps can be reached your doing good . Maybe 25 yards is the most for mine , never tried it farther out . If you can be consistent @ 50 yards more power to you . With a PCP I killed a squirrel @ 110 yards , but that was luck . I take no credit for being the sniper of the year . Mounted on a tripod with almost no wind .

@@joedokes8641 Was that in the comments of one of his videos? 110 yds is a crazy long shot! Recently I’ve had a large number of squirrels around my house with some getting into one of my outbuildings. I realized I would only shoot them no further than 20 yards away. At greater distances I didn’t feel confident I’d get a fatal shot and drop them. I’ve seen guys in the UK make really long distance shots a pests on video but they are way more into the sport than me. Plus they were using much higher end guns than even my most expensive airgun. In any case, I’m now seeing that shooting out to 50 yds with an airgun while fun and challenging, doesn’t actually have any practical use in my world. With this latest squirrel infestation, I’ve found I can easily get within 20 yds or closer to any squirrel. I guess what I’m coming to the conclusion of is long distance accuracy out of sub $200-$300 airguns is pretty unlikely. 🤷♂️

I mean our hero could just use a good gun but I get him on the cheap part😆 I've had decent luck with gorilla grip on the cheap break barrels but some days a relaxed grip seems better, very random.
@airgunsofalaska2 ай бұрын
I was really paying attention to my hold with this gun the past two days and it seems to have a significant effect on accuracy. The POI shifted significantly depending on how I held the gun. But unless I held it snug, the shots wouldn’t stay consistent if held loose or super tight. I think the accuracy is there now, I just need to try and figure out how to coax it out of the gun. Nevertheless, the effort isn’t worth it on this gun for anyone to buy it.
@yoitired2 ай бұрын
@@airgunsofalaska Seems with cheaper springers it's possible to be good but it takes soo much practice, it's hard to want to invest in when the other power plants are so much more intuitive. I was interested in the OTSA review of the new Synergis, he was pretty pumped about it but the accuracy he was getting made me think it wouldn't be much improvement over my Vantage. If I ever get an underlever guess I need to spend some money to not be disappointed.
@airgunsofalaska2 ай бұрын
@@yoitired It’s a weird gun. It feels good to shoulder and cock it. It doesn’t have an annoying twang to the recoil. With the fixed barrel and marketing hype one would think it would be a great shooter out of the box. It’s doing good now. I no longer regret buying it. I didn’t think the groups he showed with the Synergis at 20 yds were all that great. He even used a really steady rest that would reduce his movement a great deal. At this moment that gun isn’t anything I’d be interested in buying.

Maybe if you drink your targets first, the frustration level with this gun goes down? I may have to get a CFX, as I mentioned my Accu .22 is a tack driver at 40 yards. It doesn't seem pellet picky but JSB 15.89s do extremely well. Mine likes a fairly loose hold on the forearm and with a thumb pushing on the back of the compression tube end cap. I used mine last night to take care of a raccoon that was up on my roof trying to tear off my vinyl siding around my chimney. Very humane it hit exactly where I was aiming.
@airgunsofalaska2 ай бұрын
I’d be curious to see what your experience with the gun is. Perhaps they had a recent run of flawed CFX’s and that’s why mine was marked down on the Gamo site. I’m happy I’m seeing better results with mine than I did initially.
