When I got my Coyote .177 I was getting about 140 shots per fill in total with a little over 100 in the sweet spot. It was putting out 10.4ft/lbs, so I raised the power to flatten the trajectory and I'm now getting 80+ shots in the sweet spot at 11.4ft/lbs with 9.57 grain pellets. I've also done the trigger mod with a longer adjusting screw. I use it for target shooting at the local range, shooting off a bag because I have an arthritic left wrist and can't shoot offhand any more. Groups are *always* sub 5p coin sized at 30 yards. I can't recommend the Coyote/GX 250 highly enough as a budget rifle.

@@kostazyruku421 If you mean the velocity you can expect from each shot then in .177 it should be around 770 feet per second, or 11.4 foot/pounds. In .22 the power will be the same so maybe 600 feet per second.

Thanks for the video! I'm from the US and so I own a Gamo Urban which is the same as your GX-40 but having more power at 22-24 fpe. I bought it in 2018 for pesting and it has been flawless, has not leaked a pound of air, and is super accurate. IMO, these PCPs are the best bang for the buck out there...and...being built in the UK, have very good quality as well.

@@simonnoble7589 A lung infection ... and for over a few weeks even? Yikes! Does not sound nice, at all.😮😳 But still luckily very alive and kickin, which is nice.😎👍🏻 Still not tried out air with my Canebrake. I do have the Virtus' airtank and an adapter to use it, when the time feels right.. But lately just tested some pellets. No really good results though - yet. The domed Gamo Hunter Impact pellets gave a few really dead-on bull shots at first - but the overall 30rd group was poor, with insane flyers. Norica Hammer domed pellets been best so far. Been shooting at 13-15 meters. Next up is my go-to 7gr RWS Club wadcutter pellets. And then maybe the Gamo Match pellets. Both RWS Club and Gamo Match wadcutters are great in my old co2 MCX rifle.. If these last mentioned two pellets ain't grouping well - then I'm gonna disassemble my Canebrake to clean and polish the barrel - and maybe check all the other internals as well... I did check the fps on my Canebrake once. I did get up over 600fps with it - and not with the lightest of lead pellets even. The hits on metal sounds so good!😁😁👍🏻
@brorjordas1979 Жыл бұрын
@@simonnoble7589 Just got home from shooting some RWS Club pellets with the Canebrake.. Yup. I just oughta picked them Clubs right from the start. They did well. The Club pellets been my go-to replica pistol pellets for many years now. I've bought many 10pc tin packs of them thru the years just because they've been so good in rightabout all of my pellet airpistols.. And the Canebrake liked them too. 😁👍🏻👍🏻 Not the best groups ever (~4cm 30rd groups using one 12g co2 cartridge) - but since the rest was not the best either (a high, plastic garbage bin with two wheels🤣), I am very pleased with the result.. Only sighted in to a 13m distance - but my most suitable backgarden distance also is around that..

I now know what you mean by parallax issues. Just purchased the GX 250 for a great price of £360 all included, and first day of zeroing the scope could see massive parallax issues with the scope provided. Not an issue as this was a freebie with the moderator but i have already upgraded the scope to a hugo 6 x 24 x 50 and what a massive deference. The freebies are a good starter but now i see your point about purchasing the extras. Makes shooting so much more enjoyable.

I bought a GX40 as my first gun as a Vector Air package with an upgraded Vector Optics scope for both for pest control and target work. It’s a great gun and accurate enough (bottle tops at 40 metres) but I’ve found the fixed comb irritating as it would take me a couple of shots to “climb into” the gun - so I’ve re-stocked it with a Coyote stock with the adjustable comb. This makes the gun much easier to pick up and fire and I’ve also found the the additional weight of the new stock moves the centre of balance back slightly towards the rear which I find easier as my rear hand (I shoot left and right) can keep the gun stable between shots more easily. I wonder if Gamo will produce a GX-145, the 40 with the Coyote stock !

Hi Kevin, This is not unusual and I have experienced it with several different rifles and scopes over the years, it often happens with dedicated long range rifles. it is simply a process of popping a shim into one of the mounts, I often use a small piece of black electrical tape, this is often enough to bring everything nicely lined up. if you bought this from Vector, then give Karl a bell if your still unsure. Stay safe. Andy. PS. check the accuracy with the silencer removed first.
