Gamorrean Guard (40th ROTJ) v 2018 Red/Black Box (Star Wars Black Series) COMPARISON

In this video, I'll be comparing the two versions of the Gamorrean Guard - the 40th anniv of ROTJ and the 2018 red/black box. This is an amazing figure. The details are so good and the articulation is exceptional for such a chunky figure.

This side by side comparison definitely convinced me to get a second Gam Guard! The slight differences plus the ability to display them with different weapons and the mouth open or closed makes it worth it for sure!

Actually having 2 different one’s really make’s for a more interesting display!. My only issue would be having to open that carded one up. Lmao For some weird reason I cringe at opening up carded figures lol. Thanks for sharing Matt, excellent video my friend. 🙏👍👊☮️👌🏽

I prefer the new head. I like how easy it is to make it look different to the other one just by a simple stance and weapons.. Today I received my first 40th card back figures, the ESB Fett and the ROTJ Fett (already had that one in the other packaging). They were shipped in display cases and I don't think I could open them. I didn't realise how big the card backs were. They are too big for the shelf I wanted to put them on.

Thanks for the side by side comparison Matt. I think you're right about the paint decco being sharper on the new one, especially the eyes. I also think the plastic they chose for the spear with the new one is better. More metallic looking. The subtle paint differences on the rest of the figure really make em look like two individuals.

I got two for christmas, absolutely love them, I cant stop reposing them and im soon gonna photoshoot them. So frustrating not having Jabba but I dont think I can justify his price…

@@Matt_Bryant So glad you made this video.. my dream Black Series line would be differant coloring for alien characters and just random people that would fit into Star Wars, then we could have some variation too even aliens like the gammorean, for example the BOBF gammorean would be a nice touch. Obviously that line would never happen
