Malaysia has some of the best engineers in tunneling, road building and train engineering and construction in Asia. Gamuda also has the most advanced tunnel boring machine in South East Asia today. 😊👍

Terima kase gamuda dan ktm, kini anak2 saya bole pulang bercuti di kajang tanpa perlu saya menghantar mereka..insyallah 2024 kita akan mempunyai ets sari padang besar ke johor baru..harapan saya yg da berumur ni mau lihat pantai timur semenanjung juga mempunyai fasiliti serupa insyallah..mungkin juga saudara kita di sabah dan sarawak dpt menikmati satu hari nnt

sebenarnya malaysia boleh je buat track macam ni..ada beberapa syarikat di malaysia yang boleh buat track rail...macam gamuda ni..sepatutnya ecrl biar je syarikat tempatan yang buat..dari segi rail track dan station2...cuma beli train set je kat china atau mana2 negara..macam ets ni lah..train set beli kat china,rail track syarikat tempatan buat sendiri..kos pun tak mahal...kos untuk jajaran baru ets dari gemas ke jb sentral pun baru 8 billion...banyak boleh jimat..

Tak sabar tengok stesen KTM yg baru upgrade dari yg lama, Segamat, Labis, Kluang....cantik, besar dan moden..menggantisan stesen keratapi zaman 70'an...tingkap pun kayu lagi. Rupanya kontraktor Malaysia yg buat. Hebat. Lagi bagus dari bagi ke China projek ECRL, kontraktor china, bahan mentah besi pun china buat kilang supply. Harap petinggi negara dan perancang strategik dah buat pengiraan kos yg teliti, asal jangan negara rugi dan terhutang lagi besar dari guna kontraktor tempatan.

Matt Shah Sabah will get BRT while Sarawak with LRT. And both will also have highway to conmect each country and Electric Train also in discussion. Don't worry.

The fact is Penang doesn't have good public transport so anyone going to Penang with a lot of stuff ( majority of people ) they will take the car because they want to be able to get to places in Penang without having to get a bus or Taxi or grab. The simple fact is, If Penang had good public transport like LRT's and MRT's ( even trams will do ) A lot more people would take the KTM.

kita sama2 t,ggu k,munculan keretapi kelajuan tinggi malaysia HSR dan ECRL...2 projek ini bakal siap pada 2021 untuk ECRL,,untuk HSR pula pada tahun 2022...malaysia maju terus maju...

If one day we want to upgrade from metre gauge to standard for a faster train, can the current tunnel and bridges be used or new structures need to be built?

I was to understand that this same train is built to run even faster if and only if they run on standard gauge. Something like 160 or 180 kph like that lah. I saw the review of the train here : kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqSvhJl7qrmAiLc

@Zharfan Kamarul Baharin Yes. Several factors are taken into consideration when gov decide to retain the meter gauge when upgrading to EDTP. First, a metre gauge is cheaper to build. Second, existing rolling stock will run obsolete if upgraded to standard. Extra cost to procure all new standard gauge trains and locos. Third, seamless connection to Thai as southern Thai use port Klang for import and export. Thailand still using meter gauges. The result is we are stuck at the Britsh legacy gauge and our train can only run at 160kph max. Some suggest tilting train technology to improve speed but the development cost is probably not worth the speed increase because we don't really have enough local experts on train technology. There is talk about dual gauge to allowed transition and allowing both metre and standard but the cost will be too expensive, might as well build a high-speed train. Unless we are ready to finance the expensive standard gauge project and willing to cut some profit from Thai cargo, we will forever use the meter gauge.

Sabar bro..projek KVDT sedang berlangsung skrg utk Fasa 1 dan akan siap tahun depan..Fasa 2 akan menyusul dan akan berfokus di selatan Lembah Klang (Port Klang dan Seremban).

@Zharfan Kamarul Baharin Betul..itulah objektif utama projek KVDT. Bila dah siap, Komuter, ETS akan pecut lebih laju sekaligus frekuensi boleh dinaikkan. Section ni adalah yg terawal sekali buat double tracking..bila makin meningkat usia track, dah tiba masa tukar semuanya daripada besi rel, sleeper, klip sampailah ke foundation (tapak asas). Nak tak nak kena upgrade biar setanding dgn Rawang - Ipoh, Ipoh - Padang Besar, Seremban - Gemas dan Gemas - Johor Bahru. Tak lupa jugak, rangkaian KTMB Pantai Timur dlm projek naiktaraf jugak tapi bukan double track..tukar track baru saja..

1.067mm jer dan boleh pergi speed to 140 dan merupakan speed paling laju dalam rail yg narrow di dunia nih.. to compare dgn ECRL yg baru track dia 1.435mm.. kalau laju nanti tak stabil lah.

Keretapi ets ni kelajuan dia boleh sampai 180 kmj dan ke atas tp masalahnya landasan kita kurang lebar iaitu 1000 mm atau namanya metre guige. Jadinya kelajuan operasi hanya terhad kpd 140 kmj shj. Kos upgrade kpd landasan berkembar walaupuj metre guige dah mahal apatahn lagi standard guige iaitu lebar 1435 mm. Akan datang projek HSR dan ECRL akan menggunakan standard guige.

@@rizwanazil1863 betul ke xda? Bukan ke kebykn Melayu mula naik dr 80an, dr kontraktor kelas A sampai F? Umno yg kaya2 skrg ni ramai dr zaman Tun, ada mereka berterima kasih? Sungguhpun saya bukan tergolong yg merasa kekayaan zaman BN, saya x cemburu, saya kagum dan bangga dgm bgsa saya. Saya x kutuk dan kecam. Hanya org politik yg gembar gemburkan Tun bagi anak2nya, tapi yg merasa kenapa x bercerita fakta, malu ke? Ramai mgkn x setuju pendapat saya, tapi hakikatnya mmg ada dr mana dtgnya kekayaan mereka.

@@rizwanazil1863 kita kena pandai nak hidup, jgn tggu disuap je. Apa guna dilantik dr ketua kmph smpi ke menteri, kalau jwtn diberi tapi amanah tak jlnkn? Tak kira la Tun ke, PM manapun, tak adil juga kita nak slhkan. Pd aku la, org kampung pun ada je peluang utk hidup lebih baik, mcm2 peruntukan diadakan pada nelayan , pesawah, penternak dan sebagainya. Kalau org lain boleh sambar, knpa org lain tak boleh? Aku bg contoh la, ada pesawah yg x bsr keluasan bendang dia. Kerajaan pnh cdgkan tubuhkan konsortium , jadi dpt disatukan sebagai satu persyarikatan. Tapi, dah pesawah2 plk x boleh disatukan sbb tak kepuasan hati. Bkn sng nak puaskan hati org, tapi jgn slhkan org lain kalau sndr x nmpk jln dan x sambar peluang yg ada. Apa kata bro pergi ke Pejabat Pertanian, Peladang ke, cuba selidik apa yg kerajaan peruntukan dan knpa kurang sambutan. Kita maju ikut peringkat, dr zaman Tun, Pak Lah dan Najib. Setiap mereka kena ada kesinambungan drpd PM yg terdahulu. Najib ambil dari Pak Lah, semua dah ada. Maka, elok sngt la Najib berikan apa yg sepatutnya. Kalau dr zaman Tun, masa tu xda industri, mcm mana nak bina kewangan utk kmdn hari?

Why and why, still a snail's pace to construction for the southern part and south corridor . Already using the same mould and space , with only minor changes here and there, so, by right, shouldn't be too costly, but most importantly ,.must not be too time consuming..... a lot of time is wasted..... on these...pests.... Do away with those pests... those rent seeking vendors, they are not improving themselves, but parasites and incompetent, stumbling block to the actual finishing time. period.😮
