xDream Catcherx The first two movies were pretty good, but the last one was not. I think it's because they filmed all three films in two/two and a half years. I remember hearing Peter Jackson say that he didn't want to do the hobbit based off of how long it would take, and then with some director complications for the new films, he took over. They rushed the films and that's why they aren't as great.

I think PJ said that he only a year before the first movie was scheduled to release, most of the production was on Guillermo del Toro's part, not him. And they decided to stretch the movie into 3 parts, making more $$$ instead of making it as good as the LotR. Then again, Hobbits is a kid's book, so they make it more cheesy while had to bring some 'intense' part because of the success of the LotR.

While The Hobbit on screen just looks like a joke and is very disloyal to the book.
