Actually, when he refers to "the real Martin Luther" after saying "leave your thoughts on the door" he's referring to the Martin Luther that was responsible for the Ninety-five theses where he nailed a list of injustices done by the church onto the church doors.

Can you explain in detail?
@6666Imperator5 жыл бұрын
@@Summzit so in idea they had a very "set in stone" kind of system. You could compare it a bit to the feudal system where you have different classes however in india it is/was more detailed having more classes (or castes in this case). One for priests, one which allows you to become a warrior (in ancient times) and one of them were the so called "untouchables". They were not allowed to take any higher level job and also not to marry in any of the other classes. I believe it was the biggest class of all but without much perspective. I don't know in which amount Gandhi fought for them but taking it from that sentence he wanted to liberate them from at least some of the rules that were limiting them. So he fought for the indians to be not "untouchable" anymore but Martin Luther is still unable to "catch up/touch him" ;)

He opposed the Catholic practice of indulgences (paying the church for passage into heaven) and sparked the protestant reformation.... ERB Gandhi: "Leave your thoughts on the door, like the real Marin Luther..." - He wrote 'Ninety-five Thesis' and nailed it to the door of All Saints' Church in Wittenberg... Also... His original name was Michael, however after his father had taken a trip to Europe, he learned about Martin Luther and converted to Protestantism (more specifically, Lutherism).
