This video intends to further investigate the meaning of Ganesha as it relates to Astrology, especially regarding Transits and Dashas.
Ganesha's full spiritual import would be impossible to convey in a youtube video format like this. To really get a taste of Ganapati, your best bet is to commit to meditative lifestyle and make time to chant Ganapati's famous mantra, in order to drink its cup with your own lips rather than hearing about it secondhand.
This video, however, aims to convey a more mundane manifestation of Ganesha in its ancient connection to Astrology.
Things happen in life that can put pressure on us during auspicious circumstances, which can bring great dharmic activity if we persevere. Yet some other activities bring difficult karma that harms the spirit, but are still ultimately necessary. Then there are also circumstances that are just not necessary, and should be avoided.
Ganesha's name and intention brings out the calm, stable discernment of these things by encouraging us to treat reality as if it were a guru, or a lover.
There are times when we must sacrifice feelings at the expense of the harsh light of dharma; while other times, we must follow what is in our hearts, as though reality were a lover with limits that they are communicating to us.
Ganesha's consciousness represents a mantric power that can tap the individual into eternal light while remaining soundly present with this moment, so that we can listen while seeing the light of truth.
