I have no words. First new music video i listened w my wife and i cried. Thing is I discovered G✨ between 2004-2006. finding a mixtape when i was 18 i was homeless in southern maine, portland not that far from Boston. I was helping at a library to get some space from toxic shit on the street. I found a Blackstar and Gang✨ mix tape ..one side for each. first GS track i heard was Robin Hood Theory it transformed my whole view of the world . I had something like hope but no vision of the future. No shape to the hope. No confidence things could get better. The way he laid it out was perfect. Effortless. deft, calm, rooted. A man who knew his entelechy, had gone to the depths, his core being. Fuck the risks and road blocks. And he came back from that place with a cool, righteous vengeance. I didnt understand or percieve that then except basically. Sixteen years later, im honored , BLEST to percieve more facets of this Diamond. G✨ was good for me when i was a street kid. I dont know how. Seeds were scattered in a garden that was giving up . something realer than hope, more dangerous then optimism. The basic idea that to know your true nature and know your purpose, why the creator put you here, to know that, thats a divine right. And no one has basis, to keep you from that knowledge. I strive now to be thankful every day . Thats theres * real art*, music that inspires. as fucked up as the world is now, i can let it go and Praise the Creator.... Give thanks that theres things that need doing. That theres people out there who refuse to give up or give in. the gratitude i feel for that music back then and this now, my heart over flows.
