Did you ever think that maybe you've never met a nice cop because you were too busy being a dick to them first? "Oh look, it's Mr.Cop approaching me. OFFICER WHY ARE YOU STAHPING ME. AM I BEING DETAINED? AM I FREE TAH GO!!" Officer - "Sir I am going to have to ask you to calm down" "I AM NAT DOOIN ANYTHING WRONG OFFICER, WHY ARE YOU PUSHING MEEE" Officer - "Sir I am not going to ask you again, back away" "FUCK YOU OFFICER *spits *" Officer - "Hands behind your back! Put your hands behind your back!" "HELP!! HELP!! POLICE BRUTALITY!! OFFICER I AM NOT FUCKING RESISTING *tenses every muscle in his body and continues to struggle*" Officer - "Stop resisting!" I graduated from OU about 3 years ago and I can say no one on campus thinks the 110 are nerds. The whole student body loves them. In fact most of the crowds that went to football games would leave after half time because many were more interested in watching the 110 perform than the game. Homecoming is great because the drum line goes into every bar on court street and plays for the huge crowds of alum. It gets wild, they get covered in beer and play into the early hours. Not nerds at all haha.
@nakinipeaceАй бұрын
I graduated in 1995! I did play trumpet in the high school band, but I’m kicking myself for not joining in college. Although at the time I thought that it was a lot to just study I couldn’t imagine being in the band. My friend was. The whole time I was at OU I don’t think we won a single football game but we sure did go for the same reason that you’re talking about above. We went to watch the band! It was so much fun and we would get up in the stands and dance with them as well! You’re right - they were definitely not nerds. They were cool!!!

Even the highschools all across the state are amazing its like something about the area makes marching in a band better i go to Evergreen highschool in Ohio and we have gotten state titles multiple times and even though its a small school (about 400 highschool students at any given time). Our marching band usually consists of about 120 students, im very proud to be a part of it.

Just to be clear: Ou does a downfield (a song while marching), another drill that involves marching, and then a dance chart. They are not a pep band, and this video is not the only part of their show. My highschool band is run by an Alumn of OU so we march exactly like this. No one in OU cares about not being a competition band because they do music to get the crowd pumped for a good game of football, and what better way to do that then with pop or rocks songs that make the crowd go wild. I would recommend watching one of their rock and roll shows if you think they are just a pep band. :)

I am also a graduate of West Chester University (PA) that fields one of the most exciting marching bands in the country. The Marching 100 have not changed in years. I have heard all of the arguments about tradition but the fact of the matter is that the nature of the marching band has changed drastically since the early 1980s. Why do you expect the band to stay back in the "dark ages" ... you would not accept that of the football team.

MrOfficerCartman This is the fourth song of the show, the three proceeding songs are a downfield, across the field, and an augmented downfield, the final song the band forms into a block to dance, read up before posting stuff like this.

I give them mad props. I know it took forever to get this down. And I didn't see the nerd comment, but to clear the air... Being able to read music, and play and instrument are signs of intelligence. I would dare say that Marching Band requires just as much hard work and dedication as sports require.
