in 1982, The Clash stayed at the Bangkok Palace Hotel. At some point during their stay, they walked out past the nearby Makkasan Train station and took a photo on the Petchaburi Road railway line train tracks. The photo became the cover of the Combat Rock album.

The nicest people in asia live in the slums and countryside. Happiest most grateful humans ive ever met. Inner city corporate asia has some smugness to it now. I love rural areas just outside of bangkok its beautiful and the people are working class like me. I struggle with it but my god learning some thai and khmer has made my experiences so much better. I like impromptu vlogs as they are so organic and who knows what will happen. I enjoyed your walk along the railway tracks in Jakarta and the local neighborhood there, and likewise here. But I see there is more hope for these people in Bangkok as they seemed happier. I just hppe they get relocated fairly when the redevelopment arrives and they have to move. Good vlog.
