Its gotta be so much fun to be a pro and just have access to a whole warehouse of new discs to try out. Maybe a little overwhelming as well but working in new discs is always fun. Especially when you try one and absolutely love it and get that feeling that that disc will never come out of your bag.

I heard from a worker at my nearest brick and mortal store that gannon is one of the best identifiers of good plastic in the game, he can find the right dome, stiffness, and tackiness to find you the best discs to bag, hes insane to watch explain a discs flight or characteristics

@@shamanschlong no, Simon was often very excited about discmania discs, he loved the molds. He frequently had contests where he'd guess not only the mold but even the plastic. He liked the opportunity to develop his own line in MVP, but he wasn't indifferent towards discmania. Just like Eagle said, they were family. No one expected him to leave. Everyone knew Gannon was leaving and he didn't like the discs, that was one of his complaints.

I'm not surprised you like the Link! It's a great putter, able to handle a lot of torque. It's got enough glide but doesn't get floaty, so you can really range your shots well.

@@Baked_intell I am not stitch, but I think he meant from marketing perspective. By prefering Innova made discs he is sending a message to fans and people that Innova made better discs than new Discmania discs. I find it a bit strange that Discmania allows their players to throw Innova made ones. Personally I don't care. I have been playing for 20 years and I have always had most of the bag from discs that pros don't throw. I throw what suits me and prefer less popular molds. That way my lost discs come back more often.

I think it was more of a product placement to help drive a mold currently made by Discmania. Many of the discs he was showing were old Innova molds that aren't accessible. I could be wrong but I think that was more of a product placement to move something actually manufactured by Discmania now.

I like the fact that he is going with the P3x for a putter, not manny people including myself putt with it. I tried when it came out but it was just so overstable it did not make my bag. I think it would really be cool if Discmania gets tour series out earlier this coming season if at all possible, maybe some new runs by March or April at the latest. Looking forward to Gannon getting more wins this season with Discmania.

So many people like to give DiscMania crap, I’ve been playing disc golf for almost 20 years, since I was a very young kid, and all I can say is half the time, the bandwagon is wrong. I absolutely love discmanias lineup for the most part, they fit my play style quite well. The DD3 is my bomber disc, can usually get a reliable 450-500ft out of it. And the mid range lineup is simply perfect for me. From the MD1 to MD5 I use these religiously, the MD3 being my favorite for crushing long down hill shots to technical wooded shots. I was able to get an FD as well, and that is now my most reliable fairway driver. Can crank it on a slight hyzer and get a full flip up and glide with a reliable fade, or I can throw it lighter and more flat and have an easy and predictable up. Before you jump on any bandwagon, go get evidence for yourself. Excited for Gannon, hopefully we get a special DD3.

I would be surprised if Gannon keeps that in the bag. I think that was more of a placement for a new Discmania made mold. Many of the discs he showed in his bag currently are old Innova made Discmania. Kinda stinks to have a pro bagging old runs that can't be bought anymore so, maybe I'm wrong but I think that was added at the end to help drive actual new Discmania made molds.

Lots of molds but if discs are manufactured with hight consistency and fit your hand well it's probably easier to maintain a bag by having different discs you can replace when needed than to have differently beat up versions of same disc to get different stability levels. And a loss won't matter that much either because you can go to a store and grab a new one.
