Go 5 wood and drop the 3 wood. It helped my gapping a bit too, and play off the tee and long shots into par 5s. I have the same wedge spacing using 60, 56, 50, but it seems my 50 and PW are within 5=7 yards of each other, so there is a problem there...that and I do not have Roger's swing (I wish LOL). Cool video guys!

I’d watch this for another 90 mins to see the fitting recommends and the hits with tweaks and then the final numbers.

Those distances are wild 😅

Mr. Wunder, pray tell which irons was Roger using to flatten/mash/punish the golf ball on this particular day? ...and those averages are carry numbers?? Roger himself seemed surprised by the distance numbers...though the sound of his iron strikes says that he was absolutely FLUSHING the ball! You guys were in AZ? Hot day...but still, the distances...my god the distances!!

He basically needs to be fit like the long drive pros like Borgmeier. He doesn’t use any fairway woods like 3w and uses 4 wedges not including Pw/10 iron.

So, to me the takeaway was his bag needs to be revamped, as he is a high swing speed player. A bit more time needs to be spent discussing the findings, with an explanation. What I would like to see is a similar video of someone with more normal swing speeds & the things they encounter when gapping.

Money swing. Interesting outcome. Dropping a 3 wood is interesting.

Adding too many wedges to your bag in the name of gapping has its downsides. It takes the focus away from developing feel and shotmaking variety. The best shotmakers tend to carry fewer wedges ie Tiger carries 2 wedges. My humble recommendation for Roger is to knock his irons down 1 or 2 degrees weaker, play a tour weight shaft to bring in his distances and add more options at top of bag then bottom. Learn to hit the 56 anywhere from 80 - 130

Hitting BOMBS! I think I need to get my old ass clubs checked for loft and lie.🤔

Damn that’s instane. He’s like two clubs longer than me and I’m not schlump when it comes to driver distance

Would be great if we had more data. Club speed, dynamic loft, AoA, face to path, land angle.

Same but didn’t have the stickers and the quad was melting in the sun.

Id rather see 5 mins of this 14 minute video showing the swings, and the other 10 mins talking through the gapping decisions. We got about 2-3 mins of that discussion. Not a bad video just not really delving into gapping strategies for other scenarios beyond what Roger had.

@@GolfRx whatever the lofts, the 195 - 200 ball speed on driver is a dead giveaway that he's not just hitting it further than you because of his iron labeling.
