Damn good video. I really haven't given much thought towards gar, but those things are fighters! Not sure that I'd want to try to get a big one off the hook.

Hey Hood this is Ed from bay St. Louis, I don't blame you for leaving Nola! Too much bad not enough good. I'm born and raised around Hollygrove and the 17th street canal area, love it over here. I made the switch over 30 years ago I can only imagine what you've seen in the last 15 years!!!!! Fishing in the bay has slowed due to the green algae but it's always good to watch you catch some slabs!! Take care buddy👍🏼💪🏼

Talk about a gar hole! I won’t tell my son about it, he’s a gar guy and we don’t live that far away. Lol. I had fun, thanks.

Hope you enjoy your new home. One question how do you stand the mosquitos and bugs. Thanks for showing your fishing trips.

It's rained most days here in Chicago and the rest of the Midwest since April, and it all flows down the river to you guys. Lake Michigan is near record high levels, it's risen 2 feet since April. In fact my friend has a boat in Diversey Harbor, and it's stuck there because the water has risen so much since he docked it that he can no longer get under the Lake Shore Drive bridge to get back out in the lake!

No reason to not use 80# braid and a lower test but thicker mono leader for river fishing.

You should do a catch and cook with long nose and alligator gar and see it there’s a difference.
