Man, this takes me back. When anime first started showing up in video stores in the early 90s, my brother and I rented every tape of it we could find. A lot of the stuff we watched had the same style and quality as this. The bad dubbing, the awkward pauses, the gung-ho attitude, and the weird way scenes peter out into long dissolves, it was all there. Most of it was dreck, but we found the goofiness endearing.

I do love the hyperspace aesthetic futuristic look and how the general is trying to expand the human race to garaga cuz garaga has is a breathing living planet like earth the only other living planet besides earth if the federation started colonizing garaga the human race would have a expansion era expanding and garage has 1 continent the size of Asia and half of Africa together big enough for a a few billion people and actually give us growth ,development and population growth naturally without the need to build artificial space stations or dome cities to live in , garage would probably be in a expansion growth ere for a few centuries and maybe be able to find another planet to colonize or terraform a planet easily to turn to a livable planer board keep growing lol

Yeesh. The production, script, and voice acting talent of "Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors" in movie form, one year after "Akira" came out. I'm not sure how a show with cyborg guerrilla gorillas, psychics, killer robots, orbital weapons platforms, FTL via black holes, and "every man for himself and God against all" mission specialists could be boring, but man, they pulled it off. Cameo roles by the crew of the Axiom. To quote the big bad: "How very stupid."

Why does the voice acting for this dub remind me so much of south park?? That Randy character makes me laugh every time he talks.

I love the whole idea of garaga and the possibility to colonize it if it didn't have people on it great , it has a continent the size of Asia and half of Africa combined plenty of room for a few hundred million people to explore and invest in development growth, resources to use, economic growth, new plants and animals to discover for food and medical uses etc a Dawn of a new age of a thriving and prosperous place to live and enjoy and be vibrant and be a place of happening on the up lol

@@MickeyMishra yep I bet they are , with advance hyperspace technology etc earth would be over crowded they probably already colonized mars with dome cities but garaga planet has the possibility for the human race to expand because in order to expand you need for living space and garaga has plenty of room to expand lol

Damn this movie is awesome! The dubbing is just horrible. That's how it was though lol Voice actors didn't really know how the japanese voice actors performed. This is truly a sci fi awesomeness!

What I dislike about some anime’s from the 80’s and 90’s is that they leave out important parts of the story and seems disjointed often confusing the viewer.
