That's why this guy on the video used an old MOM...it was real easy to release and if the opener is not pushing the door tight to the floor then there is no pressure on the trolley and it releases even easier.

Yeah, I think it's certain openers and certain situations where that can actually work. My top rollers and tracks and set to put the door tightly into the opening, and the arm and opener are set to push the top of the door firmly against the header... tho now I might lengthen my arm a bit so there's a little more pressure. But I have a neighbor who's almost always home, and my garage is in front, so they wouldn't get away easily with that stunt.

I think it would be a shame to let a good crises go to waste. This would be the perfect opportunity for Chamberlain to integrate the automatic deadbolt into all of their machines.
