If you’re doing multiple labels, type them all in one strip then cut with scissors, saves the cut off wastage you always get with the label printer.

that particular brother printer actually supports batch printing without any manual scissoring. Type in a bunch of (separate) labels, optionally set a width for consistency, and then it'll print and cut them all for you!

Hi nice to see a new video , I notice that a lot of you guys on utube use the brittle type of plastic box rather than the softer type . I used to find I was always cracking the brittle ones, so never bothered buying them . I know it can be a problem with the shape of the corners which can limit the choice of outlets. Anyone got an opinion on this ? Great job as always thumbs up to you both 👍👍👍

For heat shrinking I have used the heat gun however a small butane torch I got is working really well. some of them even have a heat shrink attachment, it's quick and easy just click the button and boom it's done. got to be careful not to burn the cable though but you have that either way. Oh and the label cartridge I wonder if the heat shrink ones are a little bit out of tolerance, I have occasionally had the regular ones just not want to go in because they're not sitting right and you're trying to hurry.
@garyseymour6319
@garyseymour6319 Жыл бұрын
Good idea to use a heat gun, a lighter also works (carefully). I find Dymo cartridge's to be a nightmare, especially if you swap them half used (like they're designed for), they split, send one layer through without the other or delaminate after printing.

So for some numbers on the lighting: A good T8 5ft tube can be good for about 5200lm - ~90lm/W, when new. Those 50W fittings are good for about 5250lm - ~105lm/W, again new. Not a huge upgrade on light output or efficiency over proper fluoros. If run 24/7/365, oh, around £10 a year cheaper to run per fitting. Literally pennies for a garage. Fluorescents have long been a decently energy efficient choice. They are also awful in the cold. Contrast this with modern types of CFL, and also arc lamps, at around 55lm/W, tungsten incandescent at around 14lm/W, and halogen at around 18lm/W. The maximum possible (which is solid green, so not really useful..) is 683lm/W. Small edit: The existing fluoros would have been much crapper at around 75lm/W, because cheap pop-packs with whatever tubes the local DIY shed carries.

If the old is a single it's 36w but the unknown is in the luminous of the tube, there are at least 5 different lumen/light outputs. With modern fluros lumen/light outputs being at least double that of the original 40w fluros.

The trouble with Microwave Sensors is you can't simply install them anywhere you'd install a PIR. they can see moving things that aren't warm (think blowing branches) and also see thru plasterboard and wood. Once you're aware of that, you can sell them on the merits. (a bad guy can't hide behind a fence from it, for example)
