That new bulb is 300 watt equivalent "brightness". The box says it only consumes 35 watt. The two-way bulb socket you have has 660 watt stamped on it. That is 660 REAL watts. In reality, with two of the new LED bulbs you are running 2 x 35 watts or 70 watts total. Meaning, no worries at all. Don't you just love LEDs? :-)

Thank you for the video! Live in Alberta and actually used the $8 300 watt bulbs from Home Depot and paired in both fixtures … amazing difference lol! This just saved a ton of work and expense installing 8 fluorescent strip units that I doubt would produce the light I have now.

Thanks man, I just went out and got one. I have the rest of my garage with string lights with 7 or 8 5000k LED bulbs (800 lumins) around the whole inside of the garage up on top. I took out one bulb right in the center and popped one of these in. Cant wait for the sun to set to see how she works.

This is a great topic. I was just talking to my Dad and he was complaining how hard it was to find the old incandescent bulbs and I was like, yeah, you don't want them --get the new LED lights to replace them. The conversation did not go well. Lol Me, I can't wait for the old bulbs to burn out and swap in new LED's --more lumens, less power, last longer, more better! Gonna' run to the big box candy mountain to find some of these multi bulb adapters (can't believe I didn't notice them before) --Thanks!

just bought a 4 pack of 250w equivalent (18Watt) bulbs online for under $10! did the same thing in my garage without the splitters and the light is already So Much Better. May add the splitters with these bulbs being so cheap. Work great in the basement too.

Feit, Menards around here. Use the brand a lot, and for a long time. They seem to last. These are a good idea, but I couldn't get the 'dark side' (other side of power tools) to light up enough. I ended up going with LED strip lights that plug into my extra opener socket to get the back side of the power tools lit. Good inexpensive idea if it works in your shop.

I made a similar video, but mine was 60 bucks and 10 led 4ft lights. Before that I did an led conversion of my 4ft light fixtures at my old house. The new 60 dollar option was cheapest and easiest. They string together and plug into an outlet.

I should have my new shop up and running in a couple of months, and I have yet to finalize what I want to use for lights. Until this video, I was thinking of those adjustable 3 sided LED lights that screw in like these do, but you can aim them in 3 different directions. You may have seen some KZbinr videos on them. I may still, but I'll do some homework on these as well. I want the shop to be lit up like daylight.

@@ToolReviewZone I looked up those 2 videos from Shop Nation and Workshop Addict if you want to check them out. Workshop Addict had 3 different ones he tested, but one of them is the same as the ones that Shop nation used in his garage and those are the ones I was thinking about. They have 3 flat adjustable wings. I think they have them in 8, 9, and 12 thousand lumens. Anyways, I'm definitely going to consider the ones you posted, and I'll check out what the Depo has to see if they're the same or different so I'll know better what to do. And thanks for this video. It's very much appreciated.

@@ToolReviewZone I recently bought some indoor/outdoor color changing LED bulbs, but in very small print it says they can't be used in fully enclosed fixture.
