Awesome video ! Dealing with a runout issue right now I’ll have to check out this weekend . New rotors , new hawk hps pads , calipers , lines , bled the system . Brakes work great until they are hot, then I get a shaky steering wheel that gets worse with heat . Once cooled down , back to normal . I didn’t do the install so I’ll have to check the shops work .

yes but how does the rotor start the wobble in the first place before the pads start to hit it ...doesnt it warp because of overheating brakes or overheating bearings maybe

The flange surfaces need to be spotless. However, what I've seen is far too many guys will blast on a wheel with an impact wrench. Over torqued the fasteners. And unevenly too. Instantly ruining an otherwise good brake job. Another issue I've seen is guys improperly using those torque sticks. They are designed for right hand thread tightening ONLY. They are not designed for removal. As well as guys countlessly dropping said torque sticks, using super powerful guns on them, or not checking what the specific torque is. Just grabbing the torque stick that fits the lug nut. On my personal vehicles, I run the lugs down with my worn out 3/8 air ratchet. Then I do the final torque with my hand operated torque wrench. My brake jobs don't come back until it's time for new brakes again.

He has some good points . I think what causes warping is a hot rotor hitting a water puddle .

I am pretty sure everyone knows this, its just a lot easier to tell the customer they are warped. Don"t ya think?
