I don’t even do normal bar squats anymore due to the kbox’s belt squat capability. That’s just one of 20 plus movements you can do on it. I've had my Kbox active for almost a year now. I still use it all the time and really like it. The burn I get from it is unlike anything I get from standard weights. I primarily use it for squats, bar and rope curls, one arm rows, bent over bar row, deadlifts, lying tricep extensions (I move my bench over to it so the pulley is behind my head. I have to put weights on the Kbox so it doesn't lift off the ground). I still do squats and everything else with barbells too but it's nice to change it up to have some variety in my training. I have the advanced flywheel knob with 4-Large plates, 1 medium, and 1 small. I recently built a 1" platorm to raise the Kbox so I can purchase the XL plate. The reason it won't fit is because the Kbox pro is slightly taller and allows it to clear. Expensive but worth the money in my opinion.

I have the K box and the K pulley. I really like both of them. The finish on the pulley matches my gray RM6 very well and works great attached to a post. I now do the majority of my squat work on the k box and I don't think I'm going back to a barbell anytime soon, if at all. I've noticed a huge increase in power, as evidenced by my max watts numbers on the air bike. I like the box better than the pulley, but if you have the budget for both it is a great combo to have. @steverapos39042 жыл бұрын
I bought a fake version from Alibaba. Although I had some quality control issues (which were a big hassle to correct) and it took forever to ship, in the end I think it works about the same for much less money. It works ok for squats and deadlifts, but I actually like it better for upper body workouts as it really allows you to get a burn. For me, I am not used to belt squats and it is rather quad dominant, better with a squat harness. For deadlifts, it works but it is a bit jerky at the top - I still prefer barbell though. Overall, it is an alternative but I wish the price for the real version was more reasonable. I did notice some ads on Instagram recently for some new competitors that have more reasonable prices so I would also check those out.

Man I have watched this video 3 times and for most of the movements I can closely replicate or emulate the eccentric overload on my other equipment. (Such as being able to lean back with the preacher pad and then slowly lower the weight). The one movement that seems hard to replicate is the sideways lunge/squat where one foot is on the platform and the other is on the ground. That seems very helpful with athletic movement. But what other ways are there to put stress on the body in a similar manner?? I’m just wondering if this movement is only able to be overloaded with this machine only.
