I generally avoid Patagucci for any outdoor clothing. Arc'Teryx (Dead Bird) is usually very good but ALWAYS very expensive. Their LEAF clothing is thoroughly tested by US and Canadian operators. For backpacking I'm lately buying Duluth Trading Dry-on-the-Fly synthetic clothing. Good stuff for very reasonable prices.

I'm what is known as a "Baller on a Budget" (Hooah) so I got the Crye AC's when they were on closeout. Very happy with them, they've carried me through the hell that is JRTC and getting volun-told to do guard duty in the middle of ass fuck nowhere. Definitely better than wearing my OCP blouse all the time.

As far as FR goes, add vinegar the first few washes. It'll help with keeping the integrity of the FR and don't use dryer sheets, they break down FR.

As I'm a bit of a lazy barsturd, I haven't trawled through the comments to see if anyone else has pointed out a brand named Claw Gear, from Austria. Their stuff is quite affordable and takes a real beating. They issue the local SF boys, Jagdkommando, with their kit. The setup of their combat shirt is much like the G4 Crye one. Anyway, keep 'm coming and looking forward to the next vid!

This is the funnest low key channel on youtube. I have zero use for "combat" anything but i find when i go shoot and do drills my normal clothes get uncomfortable quick. I could never justify crye anything (or similar) and would feel stupid as hell rockin it even if i could, so im trying to find a happy medium of more comfort shooting all day, and not looking tacticool.

I've always felt there is an advantage to a well positioned and generous upper arm pocket where it can be inserted with a panel of insulating material when used in the cold. It's the perfect place for additional insulation such as closed cell foam as we all hold ourselves there when trying to keep warm. Next time you talk about shirts, I would hope that you mention this as an alternative benefit.

Used Massif for a while before got Crye, first thing I noticed is velcro messes it up every single time, got rips after first time I used it with my regular plate carrier. If you got something without velcro its really cool one.

Man, wool is amazing. I mean...sheep dig it. There's lot of sheep. They seem fine outside...seriously you're right on with wool. Regrettably I was never a soldier, but I spend a LOT of time outside, in varying temps. I was a tower tech for a long time and my job was fixing things during an emergency. I've hung off of a tower on Vail Pass in Colorado in Feb. for 20 straight hours. I had a lot of gear on me to keep the cold out but dude, my wool long johns were amazing. I never got too sweaty, stayed warm (ish) and got the job done. Coldest night/day of my life on a tower covered in ice at a jobsite I had to be flown in to. Wool rocks.

You should do a spot on proper field wear and layering, especially in inclement weather. Like cover base layers, hardshell/softshell etc

The army issued a brand called Mastiff. Felt like you were putting on a paper bag. They breathe in a whole lot better than the traditional ACU especially out in the desert. But they would tear after only a few washes.
