Had a similar issue. The air line was full of water. I detached from the box and pushed air through the line by pressing the button. Reattach and was good to go. Even impressed the wife!

On brand new ones, if you only have a wall switch you still have to attach the line & air switch initially, to turn on the device. They come from factory in the off position. You can hear them when you turn them on. Don't need to power it up, you'll hear the click. It is in the instructions but who reads those, right?!
