2 things guys.. 1. John saying clinching is illegal in boxing is comical.. hilarious even.. if grabbing your opponent & holding them is illegal, every big fight in the last decade shouldve ended in disqualification.. also, it wasn't just haney.. ryan definitely clinched too. Used his size to make haney carry his weight, something tyson fury has mastered. Not only is it not illegal, boxers seem to attempt more clinches than punches attempted.. the refs need to do more- Josh saying the refs in boxing need to swallow theyre whistle later on in a contest is wild. Rules shouldn't be "no called' just because the fights almost over or because of the magnitude of the situation.. refs need to call it down the middle, start to finish with no bias.. & they need to penalize guys who grab on purpose If they can stop the holding or atleast minimize it, boxing as a whole could get a second wind.. otherwise mma is going to overtake combat sports for good.. 2. I respect the brilliance of ryan garcia..I knew right away what he was doing by making him look unwell or not fit to fight which dropped the money lines so he could quadruple his money by betting on himself.. However, the fact he was able to bet on his own fight, is highly concerning.. simply should not be permitted whatsoever. No fighter should be allowed to bet on anything involving fights. Point/blank/. Because say for example ryan & haney who have fought 6 times already.. have been proven to be friends behind closed doors in the past.. & devin made a deal behind closed doors with ryan where he gives ryan money to bet against himself so when they fight he can take a dive, & f*ck the system by essentially stealing money.. it's impossible to truly secure betting in fights because there's so many avenues to cheat the system but boxing should ban any betting amongst in house talent. From the boxers all the way down to they lil brother & strength/conditioning coach

Anyone who thought Ryan was a "Jake Paul social media" type boxer, they're very misinformed. He's been boxing since he was 8 years old. He fought a lot of these "so called elites" in the amateurs. He fought legit contenders coming up and a lot of you new "boxing fans" are just that, new. I remember a bit of time when Ryan was coming up, everybody called him the next protégé, the next best great thing since Oscar De la Hoya. It's just he ended up blowing up on social media, other fighters said he was just a c level influencer and everyone ran with it. Keep underestimating him if y'all want to but he really living up to his original hype years ago when he was considered the next coming. He was known as the youngest boxing superstar. He really living up to that now. People just must've forgot. People are really shocked by this performance but I'm not. These guys were 3-3 in the amateurs for a reason. Ryan is up there, y'all just keep convincing yourself he's a social media guy. Dude grew up boxing and even has a boxing family. smh

What is 1.5 million to lose as a stipulation when your name is in every sports fans head. That 1.5 mil becomes nothing. That was a very strategic move by Ryan Garcia. He told us early on that he will never ever give in to stipulations like that again regarding weight rehydration. It's not that he had to lose the weight It's the clause that states he cannot regain that weight before the fight. Not even UFC fighters have that clause.

Sure, the poking in the eye did not help and him taking five minutes each time to recuperate. Max on the other hand is just a stylistically bad matchup for Justin. Like you said, leg kicks would have been a much better option but mentally I think Justin checked out after that broken nose still went out like a warrior though.
