Absolutely amazing video! Best video I have seen thus far. Please can you send me the link or file of this road trip. As this will help with our planning our honeymoon on Google earth pro.

Hey - glad you found the video helpful. Unfortunately I don't have the klm file, but here is a link to the sister post to this video that has a map in it that I'm sure you can get the coordinates from: www.strayalongtheway.com/garden-route/ Hope this helps, and happy planning!

Awsome video it was very helpfull! we are planing to do it next december. How many day did you spend on thne garden Route?
@Strayalongtheway3 жыл бұрын
We've travelled that route many times and and spent different times each time. I'd say 4-5 days is a minimum and 5-7 is best.

Nah Mate The Garden Route must be from PORT ELIZABETH TO CAPE TOWN AND VICE VERSA so that unfortunately excludes your video 😲
@Strayalongtheway2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, you'll find that no tourism bodies list the Garden Route as being from Cape Town to PE. www.gardenroute.co.za/ Just read the second sentence on this page. The Garden Route refers to the region between Mossel Bay and Storms River. The route does include inland areas which we left out of this video, because we were specifically focusing on the coast, however, the route (from a tourism point of view) is within those boundaries. Cape Town to Mossel Bay (broadly speaking) is called the Overberg while Storms River to PE is part of Tsitsikamma and the Sunshine Coast.

@@Strayalongtheway I'll have to look into that . Although my consideration is while the entire world considers the Garden Route to be From Port Elizabeth to Cape Town Tourism ... considers it otherwise . But it is what it is .

@@Strayalongtheway Diepwalle , can one drive to those camping decks with a VW Polo , or is a 4×4 a necessity ? Is the road bad ?
@Strayalongtheway2 жыл бұрын
@@andrewlinesjah4538 The first section off the N2 is tar - I'm not sure how often they do maintenance on that road, but it was good when we went up, minus one or two easily avoided potholes. The road then turns to gravel which was in pretty good condition all the way to the platforms. You'd want to be mindful of whether or not there has been heavy rain in the area, but other than that, you should have no problem on that road.

@@Strayalongtheway That's a great help Now " Please ( And Thank You ) " Explain the first section off the N2 And the second section ? And I take it there are no informal settlements to be mindful of ?
