For someone who doesn't understand how it works. I make it easy to follow: Keep in mind that it doesn't matter with metal or pvc pipe with its size. You can use all PVC pipes, and what you need: - one long pipe, let try with 15 inches, you divide it by 3: AB=BC=CD= 5 inches - two very short pipes go inside the long pipe and stay at B and C. These 2 pipes hold the ball at either B or C. Make sure you select the ball that fits the smaller pipe and can stop water running through the lower end of the long pipe. Assuming that the ball is at B that has it end lower than the other end. Water running through the center of BC (the long pipe) from B to C (no ball) and to the end. It makes this part heavier and the ball runs to C. Now the water runs from C to B to the end and this part will be heavier that makes this end lower than the other. You can do anything you want at each end, but it must be same weight for better movement. Hope you got it after watching this video.

I have a problem: once water enter the pipe, one side goes down as the marble goes down too, but the higher other side doesn't come down but instead stays where it is, what's the problem?

Increase the size of the marble, or decrease the width of the pipe The water must stack behind the marble so the other side can come down.
