Aaow man. Imagine if something as neat as this was an illustrated part of Wilbert Awrdy's stories of _The Railway Series._ If only he could've lived just a lil' longer to actually make interesting real-life events around garden railways and how they're an astounding experience in relation to the life of building, running, and maintainenace about railways. Mhm, the retrospects I see with my very own two eyes of watching how railways around the globe are still a fascination to me and what they embark on when it comes to motive transportation. J.P GAMING: Looks like a “Tinkerbell” type of locomotive to me. The very first one was designed and built by a guy called Roger Marsh. His drawings are available and many model engineers have built this design of loco, often tweaking the design along the way so it’s fair to say they’re all very slightly different. A google search will bring up several images and information.

@@UKWMO Indeed, the original 7¼" gauge Tinkerbell was designed by Roger Marsh with Sir Arthur Heywood's 15" 'minimum gauge' loco's in mind. There's a nice shot of the Heywoods' valve gear in the video at 05:40, you can just see the slide beeing put in forward gear. I picked up my set of castings and drawings for a Tinkerbell class at Rogers' Brittania Works in Hinckley, aah those were the days ... The loco in the video looks to me made by, or at least influenced by, Jim Haylock of the famous Moors Valley Railway. I met Jim while he was still in Christchurch running a railway next to the Tucktonia miniature village. This all happened some 40 years ago, the original Tinkerbell must be running for over 50 years now. Thank you for the very nice video PW !
