I really enjoyed this. I watched the whole video right to the end. Lots of good stuff in the basket. Too bad about the cabbage and Brussel sprouts though. They looked like they were used as target practice with a bb gun. Take care

Thank you for watching, and yeah we’re a little disappointed with the brassica’s but gardening never goes completely to plan.

nice tips for peppers. I have some peppers need to cover them up for the frost soon

I’m also watching the forecast carefully now, we have some we can bring in if needed but the others may find themselves covered if things get too cool.

Your onions are amazing…do you “spoon” them? Mine always grow under ground when I plant them out, but I’m too lazy to spoon them.

Thank you, our onions were started from seed indoors back in February, we planted the in the ground at the end of May, I’m extremely careful to only plant the roots of the onions, after that they only received watering and weeding between them. I believe the trick is in the planting process, as I’ve never needed to do anything else.

I love your onions, where about are you? need help harvesting?
@Gardenwithmezone3Ай бұрын
Hi, we’re located in Central Alberta east of hwy 2, we have begun harvesting our Alisa Craig onions as their stalks have begun to fall over. The remaining onions will be harvested once their greenery falls over as well. Luckily I’ve got a couple boys to help with the harvesting process but thank you the offer.

how do you maintain your garden to be weed free?
@Gardenwithmezone3Ай бұрын
I find maintaining a defined garden edge really helps, I also recommend weeding weekly to stay on top of them. Our summer was extremely dry so the weeds didn’t get much chance to grow. When we water we focus on only giving the plants the water and not the whole garden, which also helps keep the weeds down.
