I sit here with my iPad, with the KZbin open on one side and notes on the other and type notes while Laura chats. It is incredible the volume of information that she provides. The woman is encyclopedic in her depth of knowledge and she continually adds little details that are so important. The quality of this channel, the content, the video, the audio, the production and delivery, is off the charts high.

We have a hawthorn that has wicked looking thorns about 3 inches long, they all hang downward, with red berries tucked up on the stems. The plant is very wedding cake shaped. It is beautiful, but I am glad I did not have to plant it! Coralberry also has a native relative in snowberry with white berries...for those of us that don't get snow, it is a nice winter option.

I’m so glad you included pyracantha. I’m in the UK, I have quite a few pyracantha growing up a some fences, and at the moment I can barely see the leaves because of the amount of berries I have this year. It is laden. The other good thing about pyracantha is, the birds love the berries throughout the winter, blackbirds in particular, and the blossom in the spring is absolutely amazing. 🤗🇬🇧..if anyone’s interested in seeing one of my pyracantha, I’ve got a video of my cat, and you can see all the berries through the window in the background! The video is “cat nursing”

Hi Laura. First I wanted to say you look beautiful today. I know you say you're having a hard time with this pregnancy but you are making it look easy. I love your video on Berry producing plants. It's been very helpful. I was wondering if you would consider doing one with pine cones. My neighbor used to have a bush that had miniature pinecones on it. I think may have been some type of juniper or Cypress that had a very small miniature pinecones on it. It was really a very cute bush. But the new neighbors cut it down. I don't think they really realized how cute that bush was. Thanks again for all you videos.

So happy that you made this list! I’m trying to get away from feeding the birds through a bird feeder all year round and instead feeding them through the trees and shrubs that I plant. I’m having a hard time getting a definite list of crabapple trees that birds love/stay away from, there seems to be differing opinions on that and it’s giving me analysis paralysis! Also, your parents serviceberry tree is definitely on my list, so beautiful! Viburnums and elderberries, on the list too - thanks Laura!

I saved this video because I love berried shrubs and trees. I have two winterberry trees...one has red berries...the other orange berries. My enjoyment of the berries is short lived, though. By December, usually, a flock of robins eat them all, within a day or two. You've shown some very beautiful examples.
