Just loving this. Planting seeds for beautiful plants that will be ready to be placed out in the landscape by Spring an esrly summer. So much more economical if you can grow some of your plants from seeds. Because our Spring comes early in Central Georgia, i plant seeds out in container pots an in ground, especially vegetable seeds. Can't wait for Spring to arrive. We just got another blanket of snow here in Georgia. Our second one this January. Temps won't go much above freezing the next two days,so it will be on the ground for a few days. So pretty to see everything covered in snow. We need the moisture and hopefully the cold will destroy some insects that live in the soil so i won't be fighting them come late Spring. Snails love to munch on my Hostas. But i take care of them right off, cause i know they are there. Your reaction to the bulbs blooming was heartfelt. It's happening! Yes it is Laura. An you're going to help us all get started with your motivation.

The paper pot system sounds like it was half baked in its design. How great would they be if they came with a humidity dome and a water tight tray underneath in addition - then you would really have an awesome seed starting kit.
@cynthiarafferty76627 сағат бұрын
I agree with you. I think the thinking was for gardeners who already had seed starting items as an alternative to using the little plastic containers. A great idea but being able to purchase a complete set-up for beginner seed starters would have been a good idea too. Then the following year even a beginner would just buy the paper pot strips. Eco-friendly! Happy seed starting!
