Don’t feel bad for being young, I’m younger than you are and I’m here. I am doing it for those reasons as well but I also think it’ll be cool for my little brothers (4&6) to help water and learn some fun lessons. Most important lesson I’ve learned about gardening: research what you plant before buying it. I planted tulips in a container in Texas. TEXAS. They didn’t even last a month. Don’t make my mistakes. Make sure your plants are suited to your zone, it’s the right time of year, what their sun/water/fertilizer needs are, and what pests and diseases to look out for. You’ll be 100% more equipped to take care of your plants

Fun fact, dandelion, a common weed, is actually edible. The root can be used to make “cowboy coffee,” and the flowers and the leaves are also edible. Mallow weeds are also edible. And you know those big ferns? Turn the fronds upside down during spring-summer (depends on where you live and what type of fern), and you’ll find sori. Rub the sori on stinging nettle rashes and you’ll relieve the sting for about 5 minutes (takes about 30 seconds for the thing to work).
