Those leaves are amazing in salads and soups- shame to bin them in the compost. We have quite dark and cold small garden full of slugs but the only thing that grew in a hard clay was a hesrt of celery from Morrisons. Went ok through last winter and had so many beautiful leaves by March April that i was making soups every day- i wash the leaves and put them whole in chicken soup, vegetable soup, sour craft soup or cucumber in brine soup

This is my first year growing celeriac. Does it go to seed the same way carrots do? I want to make sure i can harvest & save my own seeds. Thanks for any info

You can use those leaves in your cooking, why put them in the compost, (yes, probably some go to the compost bin, but not all).

Omg, why do you put leaves in the compost? We use them in food. Even in the bags and a freezer for winter. But otherwise great video.

Why does it seem like people only grow this in the UK? I am a root/earth chakra oriented person, and am craving this even though I've never had it. I love the earthiness of root vegetables, and I know I would love celeriac, but can't seem to find it anywhere in my local metropolitan area here in the US.😭 Guess I will have to order some seeds online and plant it

I've never even HEARD of celeriac until today, so maybe it's just that people don't know it exists to look for it?

Try looking for it in markets that cater to eastern European immigrants. Polish, German, Ukrainian, etc.

We grow it in slovenia too, in fact I'm gonna move it to the garden right now. This year I can't even count them, so many germinated...
