being impatient during any of the phases of the grow. "cheaping out" on equipment. Not being tidy in the garden, being "unclean" or using "filthy" clippers. all great comments, and i would add, GENETICS. they matter

I got 34 strains in 1.5 gallon pots on day 47 of flower in a 5x5 tent. In the 15 years ive been growing, this will be my best harvest/quality to date. Plenty of ways to be successful in growing.
@timturk1899

I can get around 12 plants, in 3 gallon containers in my 5x5. I've used it for around 6 years, now, just finishing some gir😮ls from seed that got too tall in veg, while waiting for the 5x5 to be ready. I definitely didn't want to sacrifice them, so some Bud clips were used to bend the tall tops. Probably too low down, with woodier stems that I really had to work, to get them to bend 90° with the clips. Ended up losing a few tops, but the others are putting on more size and weight than I could have expected. Having to get light more horizontally, has really created some seriously fat tops like never before. As long as they've got good air circulation for another 2 weeks, they should be fine! Sounds like you have your grow dialed in for whatever's needed. I'll get there eventually, too, someday!👍💯😄✌️

I've planted so many beans and grew alot of different plants in the last couple years trying to get a huge crop. If I would have been smart I would have started doing entire clone crops from the best phenos and got the big harvests. Pick a pheno you like and grows good in your setup and clone clone clone

@@Virginia_cough_factory exactly, I don't hear anything about people counting plants. I don't have room for 10. I have 4 flowering, a big one ready to flower and a couple clones. Unless it’s based on Mother Nature, we’re asking for trouble. The only example of that I currently understand is 11 hours of light. This triggers a hormone in the plants that tells them they need to really make sure it can reproduce, so it produces a shorter flowering time by a week or more. Granted, I don’t have firsthand experience from this practice, I heard it from Kevin Jodrey. I think he knows.

I recently got a microscope that hooks up to my phone and it's pretty awesome zoomed all the way out. I can take close-up pics of buds that look amazing. But it's not necessary. If I get my phone close enough for a picture it asks if I want to switch to macro. If I take the pictures with macro I can blow them up and see the trichomes clearly. My phone is an Android Motorola, nothing expensive. I take pictures both ways now because they both take awesome pictures. My microscope was $20 on Amazon and has a base for a table. I just hold it for bud pics on the plant, and it's not easy to hold still. Getting the distance from the bud just right is hard too. But when I get it right the pictures are worth it to me. So there's some pros and cons. The macro shots from my phone get close enough to see the colors of the trich heads, but it won't zoom up to where the trichomes look like a jungle of white mushrooms like the scope.

I also have a question about mixing synthetic and organics. Can I top feed my plant? Will it result in same as if I mixed it in water or will that make the nutes available at different times.
@Featherless1
@Featherless1 Жыл бұрын
I only top feed worm castings when growing with synthetic nutrients... If you're growing organic, the only organic water soluble nutrients I've found is Green Rush. That stuff is great for deficiencies when you're growing organic since the dry amendments you've already added take a week or so to kick in. Hope this helps a little....

At around 3.30 he said about switching to 12/12 early and switching back to veg. I had some plants on 12/12 from seed due to not having a veg tent at the time, then put them on 24/0 after about 4 weeks, they still started flowering and stretched but are now starting to veg again. The plants are now huge and have not many budsites. Can anyone say if it's worth it to continue flowering these plants or just get rid of them and use the space for other plants?

Buy a decent tent that is tall enough for your space an take into account raising it off the floor by about a foot or so. 6ft ( 180 cm ) is a good height for a tent. Also if your tent is 3x3 buy a 4x4 light that fits. Can't never have too little light, also means you Don't burn out your lights

Definitely the rushed harvest. Wait, wait. I would rather to long over to late. The cameras we have on phones works for most part. I have a no till bed indoors I skipped the step of beneficial insects. After it was set up beautifully. First the Flys then the mites. I stopped both but I could have had a better product if I didn't have the bug infection. Castile soap on seeing them then amazon predatory spider mites finished them.
