Your plant actually look healthy and happy. But I have a sad story about this plant. Back in Dec I got this plant. During winter it shed all its leaves. Right now the condition is even worst. Though new leaves were popping. But all of a sudden those leaves started to burn. Can u tell me how can I revive 😟😪

@Shreyan R, Sure, I would keep that in my mind and I would inform about the price if I remember. Sometimes I forget as most of the times, I buy lots of plants together. It was not a costly plant, only Rs. 40. It was wholesale price though! Many of my Rose plants have leaf curl disease, tiny blind shoots, small roses (when I bought it was just like hybrid tea, but now it looks like button roses) and black spots but I spray insecticide for every 10 days..!!! Suggest any solution!!!!!

@Shreyan R, I know all about the problems you have mentioned here as I faced them myself. From my experience, I can say confidently that Roses need very specific soil and most of the problems come from the bad soil itself. Sandy type soil is too bad and Roses performs well in Clay type soil considering it also drains well. For that, we would need to add Sand and we can do a ratio like this - Normal soil - 50%, Compost - 30% and Sand - 20%. Plus, we would also need to feed them on regular basis, at least once in 25-30 days (I have video about best organic fertilizer for Roses and it works well). So, if possible, it would be better to change the soil once if you can. Because, you are already doing the other necessary work - which is applying insecticide on regular basis. Curly new shoots, Leaf curl, Leaf burn, Small size are the symptoms of pest attack. Insect or pest usually don't attack a healthy plant. And, if a plant is not healthy, no matter how much insecticide we use, we are not going to get get results. I hope, that helps. Thank you :-)

I have used it once without sand, and the water was not draining well and was floating like as if I put cement in top...😂 So now can I use that soil with the mixture of sand and compost...in that ratio u have mentioned...!?

@@GardeningUpbeat And the last question...😁 In my front yard there are coconut trees so if I place pot there, it would get only 2 hours of sunlight (from 10:30 - 12:30) and in my terrace there is nearly 6-7 hours of sunlight, but when it was in my front yard it was bit good with big blooms, and now in terrace it has leaf burn problem and tiny rose But I don't know, is this the problem of soil or sunlight Which is better..? With the soil mixture you have mentioned In terrace or in front yard ?

@Shreyan R, That's fantastic that you have similar type of soil like Nurseries. But still, black would be better than red. If there is no option, please use that soil itself with the mix I said. And yea, for Clay soil we would need to add something for sure...or else, drainage would be too bad. Can relate to your incident, cement on the top 😂😂 It would be better to use Sand + Cocopeat both and you can also do like - Normal soil - 1/3, Compost - 1/3 and Sand + Cocopeat - Rest 1/3. Clay Soil + Only Sand => Becomes like concrete after 6-8 months and we can avoid it using Cocopeat. Again, Clay Soil + Only Cocopeat - It would hold water for much longer time. We can still use only Cocopeat but that time we would need to water bit carefully. Front yard would be much better. Same with me - my plants in Balcony do well than on Terrace :-) Roses need lots of Sunlight but whole day Sunlight is not good either, specially in Summer. Plus, most commercial grower grow them in green house. For environment like us, Desi Roses are great..bloom throughout the whole year and not much issues. We get lots of problems on Hybrid Roses mainly because of climate factor. Hope I have answered to all of your questions. Good luck :-)
