I’m glad you showed the berm again! Bookmarking this video. I was a tad disappointed in not showing those beautiful boxwoods. I was so hoping for a great over view of them. I so want to do something interesting with them in my future space. However, I was reminded in this video of how important it is to plan for all seasons with infrastructure, perennials, my light source, watering needs etc.. Great video!!! Thank you! I so wish I lived near by. I would pick your brain to the point you’d probably give me a plant to leave!!! LOL Have a blessed day🌺🌺🌺

I just bought my puffer fish and love it. Its still in the pot near scatter sun until the weather cools off for my fall planting. I bought over 20 plants for the fall. Probably will buy more hehe.

Oh, I visit garden centers multiple times a season. 🥴 Just picked up several more plants on one of our last 100 degree days and now we're in the 60s. Go figure. Good sleeping weather. I'm a little sad to think about putting my gardens to bed fairly soon. Everything is looking so good. I've taken numerous photos to satisfy my need for color this winter. Working in the garden, side-by-side w/ the bumblebees 🐝 well, it made me so happy to see my anise hyssop and nepeta covered w/ bees and they were busy.

The wicked witch coleus and the cleome sure are living their best lives. Some annuals can grow very vigorously. I had some very happy lantana one year that smothered out my new little loropetalum. Lesson learned!

Goodmorning Jenny, I am in MO, zone 6b and looking at transplanting two 3 yr old Limelight hydrangeas. To big for the space they are in. I found your video on transplanting Frannie the hydrangea from a yr ago. Was the transplanting succesful? I know you are all so busy...posting a picture of Frannie and how she is doing now would be great. Seeing life after transplant would be encouraging!! Thank you. Angie

Do you think you could mention how to trim them and etc? I'm so new to shrubs and things that I have no idea. I live in Southern California, and I just don't know when to trim things. And yes, that caryopteris is stunning. I hope it grows in z10b... 🙂

Silvery and green variegated foliage with large bright colored daisy like pointy petaled flowers. Do you guys grow them out there?

QUESTION: Do y’all never have to deal with Fire Ants? If so, please share what you use to eradicate them! I swear, they have scouts that listen in on where I want to plant something and POOF! Overnight there is a full blown ant hill. And OUCH! Do they hurt! Adding: Here in southern Louisiana we have little black sugar ants, then Fire Ants and now learning something the old timers call “CRAZY ANTS” because NOTHING will kill them. HELP! Anybody? I can’t tell you the number of products we have tried.

Does your truffle of pink have an unpleasant smell? Laura recently said hers did. Just wondering if it's her growing conditions. I'm middle GA, 8A and wondering whether to plant or not. A container planting last year didn't survive.

Couple questions....are those low growing barberry's Barberry Admirations? How do you keep your coleus from getting leggy and dying out inside when they get so big....this is a problem I have? Lastly I am looking for a compact Coneflower say 12 to 14 inches max or less...any suggestions?
@groundedgarden1461
@groundedgarden1461 10 ай бұрын
I can help with the coleus question. Keep pruning off the top of the plant. Especially if you see a flower bud forming. Prune it off and it will divide and get bushier instead of leggy. Also, mine needed A LOT of water. (I didn't have a proven winner variety) but I sometimes had to water twice a day
@jodip719
@jodip719 10 ай бұрын
I concur on the coleus. I have a few proven winners varieties and they are huge water babies. I haven't made it to pruning them, but that does help with legginess. For the echinacea, the double coded Butter Pecan only gets 18-20 inches tall. That is the shortest I've found.

Jenny, your videos are getting harder and harder to watch. I originally thought I was on a good timeline. I’ve been trying to complete the flower bed around my house this year that is until August 9 when suddenly I landed in the emergency room for three emergency surgeries. Now I’m only allowed to lift 4 pounds needless to say that has limited me, and what I am allowed to do. Sadly, I lost a lot of plants while I was in the hospital because I didn’t have anything set up on drip but that is a goal for next year. So many plants I just don’t know what I want.
