A useful tractor attachment, Shelley. Hope you get everything planted. I still need to do a little more too. Keep that groundhog, Bryan 😀

Great progress guys. Thank goodness we’ve had a wonderful fall. It’s going to be tremendously colourful and gorgeous. Can’t get over your energy Shelly… So how is your anniversary tree doing. Let us see it even if it’s leafless now that it’s fall. Thanks.😊

It’s leafless and doing well! We’ll put it in an update for next week!

You need to make a CEO decision lol & get yourself an auger & drill set - you would get all those potted plants in the ground in a day or less! ☮️🌿

Shelly, now you need a water tank to add on to the tractor so you can water the far out spaces of the farm. Sorry Brian, I know she doesn’t need any new ideas but it would be so much easier than dragging hoses around.

I make medicinal tinctures out of Rosemary. Also they root easily in water.

I am 64 yrs old and live on an acreage. The easiest way to weed for me has been to do weeding twice a week with a colinear hoe that I bought from Lee Valley Tools online. It is hand's down the best hoe I have ever owned. I have tried them all. The top soil has to be dry and you just scratch the surface and get the weeds while they are little. It MUST be done twice a week. It goes quickly and is much more enjoyable and FAR less time consuming than real weeding. They key is to do it often so the weeds are little and when the top soil is dry. I just leave the tiny weeds to compost in place. Get em while they are little makes for easy work!

Your discussion of plant life reminded me to mention Baptisia for your new native plant beds. Baptisia (false indigo) are the longest lived perennial. They can live up to 100!years. They grow fast in the spring and get such a beautiful shape. I do cut off the seed heads before the release their seeds as the seeds germinate readily. We can’t have enough of these plants. Well done!!!

Yes, I agree! Baptisia plugs are in! We planted quite a few so hopefully they establish well!
