You need a power planter auger and drill set- life is so much easier with those! Love the native plants. Almost everything I plant now is a native. We are in such a drought that only the native plants are surviving.

Hey Shelley, I've been slowly working on a native garden in our back lot. When I saw that you are now planting in natives I got so excited for you! It's gonna turn out great, and the pollinators will LOVE you for it! I have almost all the plants you named plus a few more. Make sure to plant a lot of Liatris Lingulistylis. Monarchs love this particular type of Liatris, and after planting some bare roots last fall I found out this summer just how much they truly love this beautiful Native. They went crazy for it! Good luck with your natives. I'll be keeping my eye on your progress and for any ideas you might toss my way. You and Brian are great! I love watching and listening to you both. Take care and God bless. 1

So glad to see the planting of a native garden. Well done. Fair warning. Just rototilling will result in a lot of weeds and non native weed grasses. But as long as you understand that and are willing to do the necessary weeding that’s your call (of course). Best bet at this point is to plant heavily enough to shade out and crowd out weeds. Looking forward to watching these beds come together

The Purple Pillar Rose of Sharon reseeds like crazy, so you will have plenty to plant around the farm. Also, I e stuck stems in the ground in the winter and have had them grow. 💜💜💜

The nature walk is a nice addition, Shelley. And I think that it can be a draw for the business side of the farm. People can walk the path for ideas and while there they can shop. Or they can come to shop and walk the path for native planting ideas. Either way, seems like a good addition. The farm is going be a destination! Excited for you all. Bryan, you had me laughing so hard at times. I tell my husband some things you say, lol.

If this were my field, I would get rid of all the quack grass & roots with the bucket first (for the entire field), then roto-till beds and plant real grass on the rest. That quack grass is a pain in my ass.

I’m bummed. I know you guys have a party on Halloween because I remember you setting up the giant skeleton a few years ago in your yard talking about your Halloween party you were getting ready for and we got -zero- footage of any of it. 😭😭😭😭 I’m needy like that yous guys! Can we get some footage of the first barn Halloween party?? Just a smidgen 🤏🏼 pretty pleaseeeee 🙏🏼🙏🏼 🎃 👻 🩻 🧙🏻♀️ 🧹 ☠️👹🤡😈👩🏼🌾🦹🏼🧛♀️🧟♂️ c’mon, it’s my favorite holiday!! 🎃🍁 Shelly!! Thank you for filming some of the things you did & I am so so so excited to see this new garden path go in and develop!! This is exciting! Do you have to place a large order of plugs from that farm you got your plugs from? Like wholesale type of orders? Bryan- fantastic job on the windows! Do we get to see Shelly’s purchase that was in the high tunnel? you two crack me up! Hope y’all have a great week and I eagerly await next weeks video! Much love to you both! (& the kids!) 😊♥️ P.S. was anyone else yelling “she’s dropping tags! She’s dropping the tags!!!” When the niece was helping unbox the plugs? Lmao 🤣 😂
