I only touch them when I’m cleaning them or moving them up or down tent pole and I don’t use the fan adjuster to angle the fan up or down pretty sure that will extra stress on gears they been straight and they running good still

Me personally I'm sticking with my vivosun I've had mine for 6 months running 24 hours a day no problems no clicks no noise and I also like how it has the natural wind speed on it which slows and speeds up the fan while it's swiveling. 💯💪🚬⛽💨🚀

Thats whats up 💪. Sounds like you also probably take some time to ensure your fans are cleaned periodically. Always a good practice for any fan in a grow environment.

@gardensupplyguys, you should always clean your fans. Dirty fans reduce airflow. Dust also traps heat. I clean my pc fans every month even if they don't need it.

Comparing the dc cable to the ac cable is apples to oranges. I think it makes more sense to have the transformer seperate. If it fails the ac infinity fan gets thrown out, the vivosun just replace the cord. Buy the Vivosun A6, it's all you need anyway. Every other fan motor in my house is ac, including my forced air furnace fan which has been running 24/7 for a decade and a half now.

I got a Vivosun E6. It was on sale on Amazon, and with a coupon code, I got it for $25. Had it about a month now, working well, very quiet, and a surprising amount of airflow produced. I'd like to try one of the AC Infinity Gen 2, but I believe he said it's a February release..?! Really great info, as I've seen others review/plug these new AC Infinity Gen 2 fans, but none have said they're "not yet available". Lord knows how many Gen 1 fans have been sold through "sponsors", showing off the new Gen 2, because said "sponsor" didn't say they're "not available until February". Similarly, some Vivosun sponsors have been showing the newest Tent models, much denser, better made, etc. Only to find out later they're not available yet either. This was the best fan review I've seen! I'd love to hear about the new Spider Farmer, and Mars Hydro, DC motor fans..?! Maybe you've already reviewed them..?! I'll check. And subscribe, if I'm not already subscribed.👍💯✌️

Hmmm when I looked at the VivoSun AC cable I believe it was a direct connection up into the housing. Swapping this out is not an option if that the case… fully attached means one piece and no Apples to Oranges… back to Apples 🍎 vs 🍏

@@gardensupplyguys But you can unsolder the old cable and solder a new cable to the terminals instead of throwing out a one piece motor/transformer/rectifier. Which all produce heat, You don't run 120v ac to your laptop. It runs hot enough without the transformer packed in there too. I wouldn't buy a fan with a dc motor to begin with. Better yet get the Vivosun A6 with an ac motor. Your exhaust fans are ac, they run 24/7 forever, the bearings will go before the motor. Every other fan in your house has an ac motor, bearings or cord are the fail points, rarely the ac motor. I call bs on your whole video.

@@gardensupplyguys that’s stupid since FB is dead basically and I can’t check because I shut my account down well over 15 years ago. If they can keep up with constantly improving all their tech why can’t they improve the website the way all their loyal people actually want, idk it’s just me personally but it seriously makes no sense for them to really only put it there when you can post it to their website and all other social media platforms cause if you can’t focus where the current social media trend is happening then put it on their site to make sure all buyers are constantly aware which then naturally will improve sales by at least 10% or even higher, or heck do it through email service so that people are always up to date no matter what through a simple news letter. Oh yeah I’ve even come across where they released new products but it wasn’t even in the new Products list on the front page lol. Honestly their site needs to be updated a bit cause yeah seeing new is great for sure but with them that feels more like your learning about it at the very last minute and like I said sometimes you don’t even see it mentioned on the front page. Apologies for the long reply lol. Have an amazing upcoming month, Namaste.

If i push the fan the other direction it will start again but stop again coming back. Only had them maybe half a year, the first stopped working maybe 3 months in, and the other yesterday. Ordered the spider farmer fans to see how those last, got one all ready to replace the first vivosun that stopped turning, we'll see. Probably won't go back to vivosun though for fans, still trying to tell if they have a replacement or something because both breaking within 6 months sucks, using them on the lowest setting also

I am appreciative. One of my 6x Cloudray S6’s has the trouble with oscillation, some of the others click. I remember hitting it and hearing clicks from the contact my arm made, misaligning something inside and it was only oscillating on a tighter angle and then stopping, so I just turned off the oscillating feature on that one. If you’re sitting on a chair with wheels then you probably appreciate the functionality of such a device, I want a fan without the clicks! Otherwise it is top notch. Great video.

I have used cheap clip on fans from Walmart in my tents and had some last a year or more. But a couple gave up their ghosts pretty quickly too. But not bad for 10 or 12 bucks. They don't oscillate but it doesn't matter much in a small tent. In my bigger tent I used 2. Lately I'm running an AC Infinity that doesn't oscillate and it's quieter for sure. The cheaper ones have crappy clips that I remember slipping on the poles a little and they were kinda hard to aim. Now I live in VA and there's a grow shop down the road from me a few miles. I recomend brushless motors whoever makes them does not matter the company. They sell universal fan clips online or are easily made w 3d printers or mill it out of metal or even wood. Be creative use your brain and never depend on a name.

Simulating natures breeze inside a tent is where clip fans are popular. Internal external vents does not achieve natures breeze and give your plants the right shake and shimmy promoting cellular division. Brushless motors are DC. Find what works and run it. Vivosun is thinner wire because the Voltage and Amps have already been dumbed down to DC level, AC infinity isn't dumbed down until it hits the transformer inside the unit and thus needs the thicker to handle the amperage from the outlet to the transformer. Wire AWG is based on the amount of current travelling thru the wire. Hense car battery cables, welder cables and such are THICK and USB cables are thin

@weilam0311 ай бұрын
the improved desgins were thought of by USA engineers. the cheap design was Chinese engineering
@gardensupplyguys11 ай бұрын
We all know 99% of electronics are manufactured in china. No avoiding that due to costs. Apple also makes their IPHONES in china. Design is what matters 👍 When we say cheap china just refer to the first fan cause that was made knowing it would fail in a few weeks or months. No one wants to deal with that.
@rhinojohndoe80049 ай бұрын
All in all just replace them every 6 months why risk having a fire and stuffing a crop due to a $60 fan.
@gardensupplyguys8 ай бұрын
Or just do a cleaning on blade and a good blast of air to the gear areas to free up anything… a good cleaning keeps things like new. Or buy a new one and save time cause time is money in the grow world 💯

Having owned 6 secret jardin fans because other brands were unavailable, i have to say stay tf away from that brand! All of them died within weeks.

Why do the old skool cheaps fans last forever you would have thought by now you would be able to buy a cheap fan with AC infinity quality it's only a fan
@SetTheCurve11 ай бұрын
Can it take spray? No? Fail
@gardensupplyguys11 ай бұрын
The GEN2 AC Infinity is rated at IP44 for light wet conditions like over spray hitting the fan. The new waterproof UIS Plug is a great improvement. VIVOSUN does not have an IP rating : (

I had a feelin this s was an AC Infinity commercial. Newbies,,,dont do it. Stick to the $17 Hurricane clip on fans. All my Hurricane fans have been constantly running for 4 yrs. AC Infinity fans didnt even last 4 weeks. Sure AC Infinity will replace your broken fan,,,, but they will only replace them so many times. Thank me later. 👍🙏👍💯

If it is I haven’t seen a damn dime of that money 💰

We sold Hurricanes also. They do fail and the clip units are AC. Also Hurricanes are now discontinued and no longer produced. We like their wall mount fans alot and had to switch to Active Air brand 👍

@@gardensupplyguys- Easy There Geronimo… That Comment Is Likely From A Vivoson Rep. The Only Real Faults That AC Infinity Has… Are Their Supplier/Capital Short Coming Issues. Instead Of Their “CHINA” Orders Sitting On The Boat For 11/2-2 Months… They Need To Jump On Investors Who Inquire About Whether They May Be Interested In Taking A Worthwhile Investors Money To Bring Manufacturing Stateside. Especially When, AC’s Achiele’s Heel Is So Plainly Obvious To Most. “Capital”. Anyone With The Money, Would Have Taken Control Of Manufacturing, Instead Of Farming It Out Halfway Across The World.

My AC clip fans have been running for a year. The oscillation motors are tired and noisy but the fan itself works perfectly and it's the only affordable fan i know of with 10 speed settings
@harlemstruggle11 ай бұрын
Seemed fair and honest imo also, actually went into detail and opened up the gear guts so we could see. This is a good video considering the amount spent on these fans with semi-concerning reliability. @gardensupplyguys

AC infinity fans don't push enough air.
@gardensupplyguys11 ай бұрын
Hmmmm whats enough then? Maybe move up to a larger fan blade size. 12” or 16” may be what you need.

I heard MarsHydro has a new fan that “supposedly” is better than the ac infinity units
@gardensupplyguys11 ай бұрын
We are going to do Mars vs Spyder Farmer next… getting some comments on these two units and people saying we are an AC Infinity commercial. That was not the point… The point is to show people what is inside driving these units and what we see. Round two coming soon !

@@gardensupplyguys I’m interested in seeing that video so I just subscribed to make sure I see it. Personally I didn’t think it was a bias opinion you offered. You literally shown the components and explained the pros/cons. Nobody has done a review like this on KZbin I believe. This is what the gardening community needs

Don't waste your money on fans . Use 4 or 6 inch AC infinity inline blowers set 1 on the floor in the corner setting on a carbon filter or hang from tent pole. Temp control & cooling & air flow & filtering.
@gardensupplyguys11 ай бұрын
So zero air path changes in flow? Just ducts blowing? Huh 🤔 Well we like to simulate nature a little more…. Making your plants have a nice shake with changing direction increase stalk and stem strength and promotes strong cellular division. Without this you may be missing out on pushing those plants 🪴… sure plants wanna grow regardless… they will always try to thrive, but ask yourself what more could you do to optimize/maximize the perfect environment to get 💯 % out of the work you put in 💪. Its what we teach to our customers. There is a simple science behind indoor grows….. REPLICATE NATURE where the genetic evolved and started from and perfect its an environment.

Vivosun makes trash tier products. Most of their products are packaged like crap. Literally the product thrown in a flimsy cardboard box half smooshed in shipping. I’d steer clear of most of their stuff too. I don’t believe most of their stuff is even csa or etl approved which is a freaky notion considering how much in the past Vivosun stuff likes to catch fire.
