Well yes, Gardevoir is generally a popular Pokemon, as declared in the video as too why with it's battling and versatility in the games, card game, and show, not only that but it's a very elegant style and that Mega form brings out such class, it's also one of the sweetest Pokedex with it's devotion to protecting it's trainer and the communication, it's so cool really, but there are so many cool and neat Pokemon out there that will get many views likewise as Gardivoir.

technically you could use Black Hole Eclipse with gardevoir in the gen 7 games but you have to use it off of thief to do it

Aye. One of the very few Pokemon that has been available in Sword & Shield, The Diamond & Pearl Remakes, Legends Arceus, and Scarlet & Violet. No doubt through popularity. When I played Ruby, I just knew I had to catch a Ralts as soon as I saw Wally catch his. The Psychic type fan in me demanded it.

Real question: did anyone else think Gardevoir was at least part Grass upon first contact? Back in the early days of RSE, I thought the Ralts line were all part Grass at least because their color scheme reminded me of a green onion stalk. I never found Ralts myself until years later so my initial assumptions were based entirely on those brief encounters with Wally.

Not enough people saying this, people are so hung up on this idea that Gardevoir fans like the Pokémon for the wrong reason but let's be honest, most people ended up with a Gardevoir on their team in RSE because we saw Wally catch that Ralts for the first time and wanted to know how the hell to get it. I love the Gardevoir and its evolution line, they're elegant but badass.

Heck, if someone is attracted to gardevoir, so what? The only issue is if they're being lewd about it in the comments, but if they keep it to themselves, there really is nothing wrong imo. Of all the Pokemon ever conceived, the Ralts line are for sure the most parallel to humans. For many creatives or degenerates, this can be a jumping off point into thinking about Pokemon as people too. I find the dissonance within the official stories between people who see this, and people who don't, to be quite strange. And I think if they wanted to start telling stories on a grander scale, the sort that changes the entire trajectory of their civilization, then tackling this would be how to do it.

My favorite Gardevoir moment in the anime was during one of Hunter J's appearances, she stole a trainers Gardevoir and at the end of the episode when ash and the others are plummeting from J's ship, the trainer, who is watching the group fall from a distance, telepathically orders her Gardevoir, who is still turned into a statue, to teleport everyone to safety and it actually works!

... Looking through the transcript, I don't think this addresses the Japanese name for ol' Gards, roughly "Sir Knight" but pronounced in a Japanese style. The 2 pre-evols for the line are the same between English and Japanese, which both imply a certain amount of psychic dancing in the concept. I think the Gard' design was too fem, for the Sirknight name in English, hence the change.
