Don't watch GAD interviews, so let me guess....make his size count? Bully him? Boxing, at this level, between two top-level fighters is more mental than anything. Fury didn't figure Usyk out by the end - struggles in the rematch imo.

Fury Usyk is the most interesting example of a game of mental warfare being lost When I see two men pre fight . I look for who is the true instigator and who is the REACTOR . Fury constantly pretending to be the dominant man in control and the instigator but I saw him REACT to Usyks movements. I saw him be very anxious in Usyk’s presence. Nervous and agitated right up to the first bell. Squinting his eyes as they touched gloves Usyk is the man in charge and Fury needs to accept this going into any rematch with him. Accept it. And KNOW he is the underdog. I cant see him beating Usyk. I can see Usyk winning more comfortably if anything. Which is disappointing to me being a Fury fan but its reality. Fury just doesnt have the SNAP to put Usyk away early and he NEEDS to be put away early But he was mentally beaten months ago. Usyk’s supreme quiet confidence absolutely debilitated Fury and sent him into a very anxious and unsure place as a boxer. He would do well to seek a sports psychologist in my opinion . It did wonders for Froch. This would be my opinion for what it’s worth

@@Sean-pm3vd Sticks to his gameplan - yes, in the sense that his gameplan is always to outwork and outpoint his opponent, especially in the later rounds where these lumbering giants become powerless and helpless. But executing this requires rapid adjustments to the opponent's size, reach, tactics, flaws and habits (he can hardly prepare ahead of time for Tyson, since no sparring partner is likely to have Tyson's attributes). Usyk can do this because he has a vast toolkit, awe-inspiring physical condition and the boxing IQ to put these things to good use. The only way the bigger heavyweights can theoretically beat Usyk is by knocking him out in the first 6 rounds, but it is not clear how they would penetrate his defense long enough to deliver the multiple killing blows required to drop him. It may just be impossible - unless Usyk gets older and his physical condition falters or he starts making mistakes. We should declare him the best of the era and move on to the competition for no. 2. Until recently, I entertained Ben Davison's hopes of reversing the outcome in a potential Usyk-AJ 3, but after watching Usyk-Fury 1, I am now fairly certain that it cannot be done. Usyk has the number of the heavyweight division.

It is my opinion that in any second fight the chances of Fury winning get lower and lower by the day. Fury made exactly the same mistake as AJ did in his first fight with Usyk; trying to out box a master boxer instead of imposing his will, size, strength in attempt to blasting him out of there inside 5. Whatever changes Fury makes for the second fight, Usyk will be able to change, adjust and meet these changes because of both his superior ring IQ and his expecting Fury to fight how he should have fought during the first fight. My prediction should there be any second fight is a late stoppage by Usyk.

IF we take away the blatant KO that should have been, you are left with 6 rounds each. The Knock down was the deciding factor between having a draw and Usyk winning. It was a close fight, but only because Usyk was robbed of the KO victory. Ofcourse Tyson could win a rematch, but why have a rematch. We saw they are nearly equal in fighting skill but Usyk edged it withthe KO on that night. 2-5 to Fury by end of round 7. 8-11 (with a 10-8 round included, although should have been the KO victory) belonged to Usyk and 12 was Fury's just.

GAD is being disingenuous when he claims the referee did the right thing by not stopping the fight with a TKO. Fury had around 90 seconds to recover from Uysk’s onslaught and many a fighter is recovered after a minute or so, even if they’ve been knocked spark out. The fight definitely should’ve been stopped on a TKO. All these mental gymnastics from GAD and the like, trying to justify the referee was right to call an 8 count, is ridiculous. If the roles were reversed and it was Usyk on the receiving end of that onslaught and the fight was stopped, every one of these biased commentators would say the referee did the right thing. It’s situations like this, is one of the reasons why Fury lost so many fans

Your clueless Fury had round 2-8 and round 12. If round 9 had not been so shit, Fury would have been given the fight. Bring on the re match.

Charlie , stop with the Fury narrative. Fury was only a self professed Lineal Champion , Klitchko was never undisputed . The next person to be a lineal Champion would be whoever beats Usyk

@M-yz3mm anyone scoring Fury with more than 5 rounds should be called Mr Magoo. Usyk 7-5 if you include the knockdown , because it was , it should have been 8-4 Usyk. I'm not arguing dude , the better man , the better boxer the better warrior won. Any HONEST boxing fan or human being with eyes would tell you that

Can't understand how anyone gives any credence to the sycophantic rantings of Gareth A. Davis. What exactly are his credentials as a boxing pundit? What does he know about boxing or sport in general. Seeminly nothing.

Gareth usyk is so much faster then fury..if fury whant to trade with usyk he is finish..same like he try in 9 rounds..his only chance is run all the figth and trowing punches from.back foot..all others combination is k.o for usyk
