This was a completely second string side, and it's very difficult to play fluid football when you've got a group of players with limited experience of playing alongside each other. I think there are a couple of players that have put their names into the hat for a start with the tournament coming up. Trent in particular came out of the game really well, but we all know about his offensive qualities. Cole Palmer played very well, as did Conor Gallagher, so a useful exercise I reckon.

Absolutely. The team was obviously thrown together so they could look at some of the newer players. It was more about individual performances than the team's. Expect a slightly stronger side for the next friendly

It was just a workout, win lose or draw it was about avoiding injuries and getting up to match speed. Terrible first half, not convinced about TTA in midfield, struggled against this level of opposition, looked better when switching to RB, but still wouldn't have him over Walker. Result flattered England really.

On the ball going forward, Trent is quality (usually), but he lacks awareness defensively, struggles to track players, has poor positional sense, gets caught ball watching and can play at the wrong times and get intercepted.
