thanks for explaining :) but one question. has ever somebody bought those GDS shirts or sweaters. like honestly no hate, but if my friends ask me what the GDS stands for and then you tell them its Gareth David Studio bitches!!! Why don't you come up with a fancy After Effects Quote you probably always use, your signature sentence or whatever and print that on Shirt or Sweater? ;)

Hi Gareth. Firstly, thank you so much for this wonderful set of videos. I've spent the last 4 days going through the course and your delivery and the resources are both brilliant. I am quite familiar with adobe premiere and I would say a fair chunk of the stuff you've shown in After Effects (though I'm only up to episode 23), I could do (slowly) in premiere. I am a Media Studies teacher and wanted to learn what After Effects is really good for as some of my students sometimes ask about it - and being weak on it, I feel like I can't help them as much as I'd like. Why might A 14-18 year old media student use After Effects when Premiere can do a lot of the same things/basics? At this stage, I am struggling to think when I would advise a student to use after effects or premiere on a video based project. How would you explain it? I am going to finish the course and am looking forward to creating the video presentation you showed off in the intro video to this course. I am really enjoying the course. Huge thank you for everything.

Premiere is purely used for video editing. After Effects is for creating bespoke animation with type, shape, colour effects and transitions a lot of which can not be done in Premiere.

@@GarethDavidStudio Thank you for the reply. I think I'm starting to understanding the differences now. After going back into Premiere, I realise some of the differences.

I dont know what you did on text , i think you have used bevel and emboss in it , so there is an option for the smooth and hard text you can change that text , do this if your text is in 3d only , if you want 2d text so uncheck its 3d option !
