Every new skill has a learning curve. The good thing is that you're willing to expand your repertoire. Things only get better from here. And... don't beat yourself up, despite this being your first time at cinematic, you still had something to share... and I enjoyed watching it. Beautiful scenery. Lastly, it takes dedication to get out flying in the cold and snow. So good on you. Keep it revving.

Normally I wouldn’t fly in the snow as I always crash land doing freestyle 🤣 But it was a lot of fun and I love to learn new things!

I took my Pavo 20 Pro to a friend's car detail shop and flew under a client's Toyota Rav 4 he was cleaning for a really cool undercarriage shot. The pusher configuration and tiny size really helped me stay stable in such a tight space. I've been enjoying it!

That sounds amazing, did you upload the video? Would love to check it out. And BetaFPV did really well with this Pavo20 Pro I’ve been using it quite a bit since I got it… I just wish I had more 3s lipos
Frist🤘Great that you're sharing your first step into Cinematic. Definitely cool frosty location! I don't know if it's a good tip, but longer sticks on the controller helped me because the longer levers make finer movements easier to perform.

Thank you! I can’t wait to try this some more! I might give it a go with my Tango 2 as it has really long sticks and see if that makes a difference

Basel with snow! wow. Do you know green80 parc? could be fun to frestyle the dino there ;-)
@GarethDixАй бұрын
Haha yes! I was going some freestyle challenges over the summer and I wanted to power loop the dino but it was so busy even in the early morning so I couldn’t… but maybe soon!

nice job buddy boy. tips: lower to the water or ground with more speed and higher go slower :) oh and O3 discus lol Smoochie smoochie! yes slow and smooth. longer runs. maybe try more angle! you don't wanna mess with rates maybe add some expo.

This is the quad I keep catching the Lipo on things when I’m flying (more used to a top mounted Lipo) so if it wasn’t water I’d be flying 3cm off the floor 🤣 Maybe if I waterproof it and stick a bottle to help it float I wouldn’t worry about loosing it in the drink 🤣

It's been a long time since I've been at the Basler Münster ;) Nice flying and vid mate 👍 I think cinematic needs slower rates even so I must admit I have zero experience ;) just hear say from friends that sometimes do cinematic stuff.
@GarethDixАй бұрын
Thank you… I’m sure I could fly those rates much slower I just cant resist the temptation to go quicker so maybe slower rates will make me chill out a bit 🤣
@McLogo76Ай бұрын
@@GarethDix :D that might be the reason they fly with lower rates tbh.
@GarethDixАй бұрын
@McLogo76 it makes sense. 😂
@BigKahunaFPVАй бұрын
Haha Very cool, sometimes it's really not easy to change your style. I wouldn't recommend changing the rates. But if you're filming at 60 FPS, you shouldn't render at 30 FPS, that makes the image jerky. At least that's my experience with the DJI O3 Unit. Best regards and always have a good flight 🫡😎🦅
@GarethDixАй бұрын
That’s a very good point… when I’m normally doing video (outside of FPV) I’m always considering my fps and I totally forgot about it here! I flew in 60fps and rendered in 24fps 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

How does it handle the wind?
@GarethDixАй бұрын
It’s good in light winds it has enough power to get through… in stronger winds because of the ducts and being very lightweight I wouldn’t recommend it
@dronefilmsgermanyАй бұрын
@@GarethDix Thanks for your honest comments. Is it good to fly on beaches. I just want to take it with me while on vacation so I am under 250 G and all regulations.
@GarethDixАй бұрын
@dronefilmsgermany on a fairly calm day you’ll be ok, but any Sub250g whoop is going to struggle with strong sea winds. If you have to be Sub250g I would probably go for a 3.5inch as it would handle winds a little better. But even in high winds you’ll still get blown around a little because of the weight.

Good job with the thought process, however something I noticed is that you're just adding woosh sfx to random points, some are quick and abrupt wooshes and don't match with going past trees and such. for those things, opt for a long, drawn out woosh sound effect instead.
@GarethDixАй бұрын
Yeah that's good feedback I only had a couple of longer whooshes so didn't want to use the same one all the time haha...

I've tried cinematic FPV but I ended up doing tricks instead. I don't like it lol
@GarethDixАй бұрын
I got into FPV originally think I would do cinematic but ended up loving freestyle so never tried it until now 😂
